Magic Kingdom morning emh don't bother

I have to be honest...I have read some statements on these boards that to me appear to be really really out there and then I realize the poster is kidding. I have to believe with this one you were going for humor. You cant possibly be serious can you?

Yep. He belabored the point, then stuck by his guns.

Absolutely, Disney appears to be within their legal rights to announce "extra magic hours" but not open any attractions (if they would ever so choose). But, that's not a reasonable expectation for a newcomer. WDW didn't become the number one vacation spot in the history of the world by treating people like that. Some of the wording in the SOME of the extra magic hour ads needs to be tightened up. That's all that I meant.

Bottom line- If Disney specified which rides you were going to be able to ride and guaranteed you'd be able to ride them, the lawsuits filed by people who happened to be in the parks when one went down for 2 minutes would flood in. They aren't about to give guarantees. What they promise you will always be less than what they actually give you- they'd be crazy to do anything else.

So they tell you that you're guaranteed entrance- and even that has it's conditions.

Funny how Universal has no trouble telling anyone what rides and areas will be open for Early Entry and I don't think they've ever been sued over it....lol

Disney does tell you. It's on the Times Guide every single person who stays on property gets when they check in to their rooms. Somehow those who didn't read it knew what time the park opened and knew which park had EMH, but they didn't take the extra two minutes to scan through the guide to see what it said.

I was referring to on their website, but as the pp just stated, they do tell those guests who are actually at the parks which ones they plan to have open.

I'm going out on a limb and guessing Universal doesn't guarantee any more than WDW does. I'm betting their fine print is just as restrictive.

Of course no one is going to guarantee anything, but you said " Bottom line- If Disney specified which rides you were going to be able to ride and guaranteed you'd be able to ride them, the lawsuits filed by people who happened to be in the parks when one went down for 2 minutes would flood in"

Universal does specify which rides will be open( and their website isn't the best either) and one doesn't have to enter into a magical mystery tour to find that info. I don't think anyone is suggesting that Disney should open more rides, or "guarantee" any, but imho it should be clear and easy to find through a primary source. For goodness sakes one shouldn't have to go to secondary sources to find out info regarding Disney or any other company for that matter. For some time, and this is just my opinion that for a multibillion dollar company their website is horrendously bad. Even forgetting all the various glitches, it lacks substantive information on so many things it is scary. You have to admit that there is a reason why there are so many other sites out there that many rely on for planning purposes. Ask yourself two questions Does anyone actually go to the D site for any info if they are a repeat guest ? When you answer with the only option there is, which is "no" then the second question is "why not ? "

Really I can't help you much. Disney tells guests onsite what rides are expected to be available. That's plenty enough information to me.

If you prefer how Universal does it - great. I have no idea what's available on the universal website. The few times I accessed it last year I found it cluttered and confusing and a pain to navigate. But if you like it, that's great.

Just an aside- don't you stay off site? Why would you need to know what rides are available during EMH? Just wondering why you seem so concerned about an issue that doesn't affect you.

I've been on a "magical mystery tour" to find out which attractions are open during EE at Uni and all I've found is this:

Would you mind linking where they state which attractions are open?
Thanks in advance.

We love MK EMH... We head straight for Buzz, ride it 2-3 times, Space Mountain for the big ones and Tomorrowland Speedway for the littles, tea cups, Dumbo, Peter Pan and by the time the regular crowd starts showing up, we're headed to Frontierland. Usually on an MK EMH morning we are headed back to the hotel by 10:30am, having checked a good number of rides off our list and ready for a nap!

It isn't about "my" liking the way Universal does it. It's about a number of newbies who don't have the information they need. And its about how Disney doesn't make this or much other information available on their website.

And in relation to your " aside ". I Wont take the time to reference all the times that you and a few others have offered "opinions" on things that don't affect them personally. I could but I wont ....lol

If a newbie wants to know what rides are expected to be available, they can find out within seconds. Who cares if it's the official WDW website?

The point is, the information is available easily.

This is a non-issue.

This might be a completely dumb question but is the Canadian version of the WDW website different than the US one? On ours, the EMH attractions are clearly listed. Under attractions you'll find:

Some people just go - they don't always print out spread sheets. I've been over 50 times and had no idea not all attractions were open during EMH. I don't do EMH either, so I wouldn't have looked it up, but if I did want to be on a schedule while vacationing, I would feel it was enough of an accomplishment just to get there at 7 am.

I'm so sorry it was a disappointment. It is our ONLY park to EMH. We love it! We knock out everything in FL with time to spare. We are morning peeps though. :)
