Magic Kingdom morning emh don't bother

Love, Love, Love MK's morning EMH! We have done all our favorites twice & still made it over to the holding area before the rest of the park opens.

Sounds like someone didn't do all their research before planning their trip! I'm sorry you were expecting more to be open, but I'm not too sorry since you're at WDW and I'm stuck at home. Lol I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

I always enjoy the threads where the OP states, "I was ignorant about something and my ignorance led to be becoming angry, so I'm now sharing ignorant advice with people who know better."

That said, I'm all in favor of people telling everyone to avoid EMH -- it makes EMH more fun for the rest of us!

We love EMH AM in MK - too busy and too late for EMH PM

Great for pictures and get your FP+ for the 9 am hour and beyond

The rides we love to do are =

I would agree with evening EMH, not morning.

But you said yourself you haven't even done morning EMH at MK.

I think it's great, get all the rides that are open done, beat the people who sleep in, and be first in line for when the rope drops at the lands that aren't open during EMH and you can get all the popular rides done by 10:30 with minimal waits!

We haven't and don't ever intend on it. That is why it isn't a benefit for us, only evening EMH.

I did a 7-8 AM EMH one morning at MK, and in the first hour I'd met Anna and Elsa and Cinderella and Rapunzel, and went on Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh. Which I thought was pretty good given that it was the week after Easter and crowds were crazy during the day (and if I'd tried doing any of these later in the day it would probably have involved around 3-4 hours of queuing).

I'll agree with OP but for different reason's. AM EMH was great for years but will all the new rooms added over the last few years it has become more crowded. I now do the park which had the EMH the day before and sleep an extra hour.

In fact, we did a last second change coming out of BC two years ago. I decided I wasn't in the mood for the TSMM crush and we walked over to EPCOT. It was a few minutes before 8 AM and I was stunned by the large line. There were WAY more people at the IG then there had been the day before at 9AM.

I am sorry did you not look to see the attractions that would be open? I feel that was a mistake on your part and you can't be mad at what rides were and were not open because you didn't bother to look it up.

Could you provide a link to where you look up what will be open for the EMH? Thanks.

I disagree! The only EMH we do is Magic Kingdom to take advantage of short waits at Fantasyland rides. That way, we can use our FPs on other attractions. Sorry you didn't know, OP.

personally i love EMH mornings at MK.
i always do fantasyland at RD so with EMH i get everything done that much faster.

by 9am i've done everything in fantasyland and i can move on to other areas of the park while most non resort guests head to fantasyland.

btw jungle cruise is closed for refurb.

I'm a big fan of evening EMH- especially when it starts at midnight/1am! The park is almost empty by 2am. It was spooky because it felt like we were the only ones in Tomorrowland. Never been to a morning EMH because I'm a night owl not a early riser.

I've been doing EMH for years and never realized this! We always just do the tomorrowland stuff and by the time that's done (and done, and done, and done... :lmao:) EMH is over and we head to fantasyland.

I have to say I haven't done EMH in years (im not a morning person) but this trip im with a little one that rises with the sun- then im sure we will! I also remember a time when thunder was open in the morning- but I think that had to do with rehabs at other rides (as a PP mentioned)

OP, I dont agree with those who say " you should have known". I found out about the areas not available two years ago, I don't think it is that well reported.
In any case, I love the EMH at all the parks and still feel they are the best way to get some extra, and valuable, ride time.

I can see the value in the MK midnight-2am EMH, but are the evening EMH at HS and/or Epcot worthwhile? We are on the west coast so I do not know if morning EMHs are realistic for us. However, I am getting the impression that morning EMHs are similar to the ones at DLR (which we always hit and never regret). Maybe my red eye flight will have my internal time clock so messed up that rising early on the east coast will work.

I would agree with this. We almost always do evening EMH at MK but we've only tried morning twice. Both times it felt overly crowded and the waits were long. Last time we went to morning EMH we were one of the first people on PP and by the time that was over the line for Pooh was 45 minutes long. Two rides in one hour is not worth getting up extra early, not for us. We did know only certain rides would be open though. I can't really recall how I first heard about that, but I want to say it's listed somewhere in the park maps, no?
