Magic Kingdom Monorail Station Upgrades

Rumors are swirling that the Magic Kingdom monorail station will be receiving an extensive upgrade. Included in the rumored upgrade is new lighting and wider paths leading in and out of the express and resort stations. Not sure what else is going to take place. Just a rumor at this point unless someone has seen activity already starting at the station?

I didn't think the station needed any upgrades. It looked fine to me.

I have always wished that the monorail on the resort loop could alternate directions.

First run from MK toward the Contemporary and around and back to MK.

Next run from MK to Grand Floridian and around and back to MK.

There have been several times that I have been @ MK and wanted to get to the Grand Californian and it would be nice to be able to take the momorail without having to do the complete circuit around 7 seas lagoon.

I know, I know - I can take the boat but, in the middle of January on a windy day, it's far from being a pleasant boat ride.

They are supposed to be building an extra spur to stage a monorail at the TTC.

Maybe it could be a high speed monorail, like the new high speed rail coming to florida. Imagine the hopper ticket options!
