Hello everyone! Here is a quick video update from this weekend that shows the current progress of the Magic Kingdom's Hub / Castle Stage Area Construction. Even though it's a few days old, it still gives you a pretty good idea of what's going on and how it all ties together. Enjoy!!

The permit is up in Nov, so it simply has to be done by then. There has never been a hard and fast date set by Disney or anyone else. Just a lot of wishful thinking on some board members parts that it would be done in time for whenever their trip was.

Hope it's done by Christmas time! Would not look good to have those scrims in the background of photos etc.

May I ask - beginning, or end of November? The whole thing could get very ugly if WDW misses their permit end date :(.

As far as I know, it just states November. Which would technically give them the entire month. I would suspect however they want it done before the thanksgiving holidays. And I KNOW they want it done before Dec 4-6, which is when they start filming the Christmas parade for ABC. There is no way they will have construction up for that.

Thanks for the update.

We were there on Friday for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and the refurb still wasn't done, even though all four towers have been revealed now. I hope they finish this soon!

Is it any better leaving the hub area (or arriving) toward Frontier Land bridge? That always seems the worst area.

It actually is better as far as the crowd flow goes. Not perfect, but much better! There are now many more pathways for people to use, and it spreads the crowds out quite a bit.

Went Magic Kingdom yesterday, and I took a new video of the Hub and Castle Stage Area Construction Progress in 4K. Check it out. They're almost done!

Never thought of that, but I guess since they are filming in November now that confirms that it will be done before the end of the month.
