i am going to MG in june and i have'nt been there for a few years so i dont know what rides to hit, the Q's will be long in june so what rides are a must and what rides are'nt that good.

p.s my family like thrill rides if this helps :thumbsup2

I haven't been in a while either. I got the Passporter book. It has each attraction rated in a woman's perspective, a man's, and a child's. It also has maps of each park in there.

Also I got Birnbaum's 2006 Official Guide. It's very informative too.

Have fun on your trip!

You're welcome. No one else responded yet?

How long has it been since your last visit? We were there in 1991. We are going back this fall with our toddler. This will be our first visit as a family.

Are you taking little kids?

The post title says Magic Kingdom but you refer to "MG". I assume this is a type-o and you really want MK info.

We have been there twice recently and (IMO) the "thrill" rides to hit are: Splash Mtn., Space Mtn. & Thunder Railroad. Also, Buzz Lightyear, the Tea Cups, the Jungle Cruise, Mickey's Philharmonic and the Haunted Mansion are all MK must-do's!!!!

I also suggest Peter Pan (one of my faves) but make sure to get a Fast Pass as the lines for that ride get HUGE!

Outside of Splash Mountain, Big Thunder and Space Mountain there are not any other thrill rides in the MK. There are a lot of great rides and attractions, but if you want thrills you might want to consider the Disney Studios. Rock 'N Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror rank high on everyone's list of thrill rides. Expedition Everest at the Animal Kingdom is getting rave reviews.
You are correct about the lines in June being long. However, if you get to any park at opening you will find the first few hours great. At the MK there are no lines at Splash or Big Thunder for a while. Space Mountain gets busy pretty fast so grab a Fast Pass, get on stand-by and then ride again with your FP.

Thrill rides are limited @ MK. Space Mountain-Thunder Mountain- Splash Mountain.
Other favorites include Mickey's Philharmagic- Haunted Mansion
Be sure to fast pass Buzz Lightyear this line gets incredibly long.

The way I understand fast pass, there's not a limit per day.....if you get a fast pass that says come back between 9:30 and 10:30. Then regardless of when you go back, you can get another fastpass at 9:30. That is my understanding. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

Fast Pass is completly different from the Universal studios fotlp systems that you can buy or recieve with your room stay.(Like I assume that you are used to from your name)
Like Hoosier mom said. It is not a limit of fast pass tickets per day day, it is a time frame issue.
More info: You get your own fast pass ticket at the front of rides you wish to go on 1 for each park pass.
The ticket you get out of the kiosk will read:

RIDE NAME
enter anytime between time and time
another fastpass ticket will be avaialbe after time (for this ride or any other you can't get more fast passes till then)
the date, kiosk# & time (that you picked up the fast pass)

For instance I picked up fast passes tickets for Mission space (great ride at epcot) at 12:31 pm @#3 on 2/21/06 our return time was from 3:05pm till 4:05 pm. My next tickets were availalbe at 1:37pm. (My friend chickened out so I kept hers as a souvinear. Yeah I know I should have gone twice or given it away to someone else, but then I wouldn't be able to pull it out of my wallet and bemoan the unsed ticket when ever I see her. Childish I know.)

Disney knows which rides have the longest lines and puts in a fast pass system if the ride consistanly has a super long wait. This does not necessarly mean it is the best ride, just that it usualy has the longest lines or Q's like you called them.
F.Y.I. From allears here is a list of fast pass rides:

Advice on Fast passes. There is no official limit of how many in a day, like the other posters stated, it is time oriented. However, there is a real limit in the sense that they are a limited amount.

For example you get a fast pass for Thunder Mountain lets say for 11:00-12:00 which means you would be entitle to go get another fastpass sometime around 11:00. But in reality, especially during the peak season you are going, by 11:00 there may be no more fastpasses available for the rides you want I was there in March, which is starting to get in the crowded season, and the fastpasses times were literally clicking up as I waited on line for the fastpass.(At 12:00 I was able to nab a fast pass for space mountain for which I had to return between 5:20-6:20) !!!.

Make sure you prioritize which rides you have to hit and get those fastpasses first.
