We’re going for 3 days to Disney world. The MK is the 1st park we will be visiting and the park is open from 8am to 12am and then extended hours from 12am to 2am. The 2nd day were planning on Hollywood Studios but not sure that will take all day as I know MK will. The last day I am kind in limbo on where to go. I feel we will all be done with MK if were there till 12am on the 1st day and will not want to spend an entire day there again since we did that just a few days before.

The crew that is going with us are Me, my husband, our 6 year old daughter, and my 18 year old niece. I appreciate your advice.

I guess it all depends on how much you like MK. We've only been to WDW twice (so don't have much experience) and both times we didn't have park hoppers. MK is our favorite. Also, we have a laid back approach to our touring.

The first time we went, we did 3 MK days (not full from RD to closing) and 1 day at EPCOT.
The second time, we did 3 MK, 1 AK and 1.3 at EPCOT. The 0.3 at EPCOT was due to the fact that we went their on arrival day, and toured from 5 to 9 (stayed for Illuminations). Two of our MK days were actually back to back. After we did AK we said we won't do that park again unless we have hoppers.

I think you should look at how much you're going to do in each park. If you think you can do HS in 5 hours or less, then maybe you should get a park hopper. That will help with your third day.

I think park hoppers may be worth it if you are hopping for more than 1 day.

Edited to add: Our daughter is also 6, and we asked for her input when we were planning.

I've always used park hoppers. If you can afford the extra cost, it will just give you more options. It's hard to know exactly how you'll feel once you actually get there. You would be surprised how much time you can spend in MK, so it's possible you'll want another part day there, plus be able visit another park (Epcot?).

Get a park hopper and you can do AK and HS in one split day. Go to AK first and do what you need to do there first thing, should be able to do the safari, everest, dinosaur and a few shows by lunch and then make sure you have your fastpasses booked for HS in the afternoon and hop over to the studios which will be open later than AK.

You don't have to decide (and pay) ahead of time on the park hopper option. Just buy the non-hopper tickets and while you are there if you decide you want to hop, just upgrade and pay the difference at that time.
