A new fireworks show "Happily Ever After" will replace Wishes starting on 5/12. It will combine fireworks, lasers, and projections onto the castle. The show will most likely be at 9:00 pm, that night.
Not sure. I just tried and it worked for me. I had to search for it, though. Try searching Happily Ever After in MDE, see if that works.
if you are saying what you heard from your house last night, that was still Wishes. Last day of Wishes is May 11th (next Thursday) or was it after park closing and you heard testing of the new show? From what I heard last night at home, a decent amount of fireworks are involved
Your welcome. Enjoy! It will be interesting to see what Disney has planned. Thanks! I was able to add it to my plans by searching. Appreciate the response.
I have seen the new show. I do not call it a fireworks show. It is a projection show with some lasers and a couple of spurts of fireworks. Think of an extended version of the Jingle Bam show. It is about cost cutting and is very disappointing.
Does this mean the theme park view I have reserved at contemporary resort is pretty much worthless? We got this for my special needs son to watch fireworks from safety of our room before going to sleepI have seen the new show. I do not call it a fireworks show. Thank you that makes me feel a little bit better. We go in a month and there's no other room category free to change toI saw the new show last night around 1-something from our balcony at Wilderness Lodge. I wouldn't call it a projection show with some fireworks; there were still a lot of fireworks. There were lasers and I could see hints of the projections. It looks like this is going to be a great show. I can't wait to see the whole thing, music and all.
The show you are talking about is Once Upon a Time projection show. The were running the show on March. I can't remember the times. Wishes was at its usual time and around an hour later they ran this show. It was such a letdown. It was especially bad to see it shortly after Wishes. I think it totally falls into Disney's new theme of charging more and giving less. I am just guessing - but I think they will probably start showing something like Wishes at pay-only events (like parties).
We have changed our upcoming reservations from Theme Park View to Garden View at The Contemporary. It's not worth paying more over.
The new show will have fireworks but it will also have projection and laser effects that can only be enjoyed from inside the parkDoes this mean the theme park view I have reserved at contemporary resort is pretty much worthless?
