We were planning on dining at California Grill on Tuesday, September 6th, and hoping to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the restaurant. They haven't posted a fireworks schedule yet and when we can start booking our dining next week I'm not sure if and when they will happen so we can plan it right. Does anyone know if and when the fireworks might be going off on that day from Magic Kingdom?

According to TP, the fireworks last year were at 8:15PM. Looking back further, in 2019 the fireworks were at 9:15PM, in 2018 they were at 8:30PM, and in 2017 they were at 9PM.

Plan for fireworks to start anywhere from 8:15-9:15PM. I’d say an 8PM reservation should be just right.

Also, DH and I will be there LD week as well! Tuesday is our rest day and I haven’t fully decided what we’re going to do that day beyond pool and resort hop.

What is "LD week"?

Park hours aren't scheduled for Sept yet but 9pm would be a good estimate. An ADR of 8p would be a good time to catch them..

Side note: If you cannot get your desired ADR, they'll let you back up to the rooftop terrace to view them.

Our flight schedule changed on us and put us in Orlando a day early, so we were able to book Bay Lake Tower for this one night before heading off to the next resort for the rest of the trip. Never thought we would stay there so trying to make the most of it. Our hope is to catch the fireworks over dinner then be back in the room on our lake view balcony for the electric water pageant, assuming our room has a decent enough "lake view".

Plus, we are hoping we can get in to V&A's chef's table for our 15th anniversary on the 7th, another once-in-a-lifetime experience if we can get it booked.

Is that usually a busy week? I hadn't thought of that. We are in WDW from 9/6-9/10, staying at the Beach Club (all but that first night at the Bay Lake Tower) for our 15th anniversary.
No, LD itself might be busy but all schools will have resumed. Early Sept historically used to be a "quiet time"...

This is exactly why I chose this week! Historically, pre- and during- covid times, the crowds have been minimal with most attractions 30 minutes or less but many basically walk on.

Also there LD week, Sept 4-13. Celebrating our 44th anniversary. :goodvibes But we have no interest in Victoria & Albert’s at all. My DH is a fussy eater. 😂

We go early September almost every year for about 15 years. It is quieter than the rest of the year, but not as empty as it used to be.

What I’m most worried about is the weather, ie the heat and humidity. We’re from GA so we’re definitely used to it, but it hits different when you’re spending most of your time on concrete and asphalt. 🥵

Oh it is brutal. We’ve slowed way down over the years & only spend mornings in the parks. But getting back to YC from Epcot is always 🔥🔥

Thanks for asking this! I was searching for the answer for Wednesday of the same week!!!

I am sorta hoping to bridge sunset and the fireworks!

Now you have me thinking V&A chefs table tho!
