I would like to book (for the third week in August) a restaurant reservation at the Contemporary Hotel restaurant - to see the Magic Kingdom Fireworks. What number should I call, and will the restaurant reservations agent know, and tell me, the times of the Firework displays, for the month of Aug - and therefore, advise as to the best time of such booking?

Are there other good "off-site" locations at WDW, that one can go to, to see fireworks, either at Magic Kingdom, or one of the other WDW theme parks?

The number to call for dinner reservations is 407-WDW-DINE.

No, but you may want to try watching the MK fireworks from the Poly beach.

If you are talking about the California Grille it is usually pretty crowded.

There is also a deck to watch the fireworks at the Contemporary (same floor as the shops) and they even pipe in the music!

Narcoosee's restaurant at the Grand Floridian is a nice spot for dinner and fireworks. The last time I was there, they also piped in the music.

DH and I ate at the Contemporary Grille one evening and when I made the reservations, I was told that they could not guarantee a "fireworks view" table. We did end up sitting more in the center of the restaurant, but with all the full length windows, the view was incredible.

My mom, sister and I had a center table too and the view was wonderful. They dim the lights and pipe in the music...it was great!

DH, DSs and I watched the ate at CG before the fireworks and watched from the platform outside. It was not crowded, and they piped in the music. IMO, though, the fireworks were a little bit too far away. They looked small. Expect CG to be crowded at firework time, and in my experience, CMs are always very helpful and "in the know" as far as times.

Can one post the link for the schedule for WDW fireworks. in August?
