Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party

Hello everyone,

I wanted to do something special for my Mom when we go to the world in August and I came across the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party. It costs $18 for adults. What are people's thoughts on this? Do you think it will be very popular? Should I make a reservation on June 22 (the first reservation day)?

Is anyone excited for this dessert buffet?

Well it would depend on how many people are in your party. Because $18 a person just for dessert seams rather $$$$. Another option would be to buy a couple dessert and grab a few forks and share with those in your party and save the money for something else. There is a bakery on Main St in the Magic Kingdom. Or go over to the Poly and grab some desserts and sit on the beach and watch the fireworks.
We have seen the fireworks from the Poly many times and it is a great location.

We're going to try it. I like the idea of the dessert buffet, but more importantly I like the idea of a reserved place to watch Wishes and not have people trying to push in front of us.

I think the premium is more for the reserved seating for Wishes as opposed to the dessert buffet.

When my DH and I were in Disneyland in 2001, they had a special dessert party for Fantasmic. It was $30 or $40 per person and it included a dessert buffet and seating on the balcony of Walt's apartment in Disneyland Park. I remember the only way to get tickets was to be at the ticket booth ridiculously early in the morning the day you wanted to attend. I was the first person in line and there were only 14 tickets to be had (some small number like that). Many people that lined up after me were turned away. But can I tell you, it was well worth it. Fantasmic at DL is a little different (and a lot better, IMHO) than HS's. Instead of the Pocahontas sequence, there is a Peter Pan sequence on the pirate ship. AWESOME!

So, if you want reserved seating for fireworks and yummy desserts, then the $18 is worth it. I'll be curious to see how quickly this sells out - my guess is that all the spots will be gone by 7:05am or sooner.
