Magic Kingdom day on a MNSSHP Sunday?

It seems like the prevailing wisdom on easywdw and touringplans is that Sunday is generally a bad day for the Magic Kingdom. However, with a Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party on the Sunday we are visiting (September 14), easywdw has it rated as a very attractive park to attend. We don't mind the early close time as we have a toddler and will likely pack up around 7 PM anyway. But I am nervous that touringplans still has it rated as more crowded than later in the week (but I don't think they account for MNSSHP).

Insight as to if the park will be relatively light on a MNSSHP Sunday? We will have Park Hoppers if it turns out to be a total disaster.

The reason why easyWDW recommends MK on party days is because most people are turned off by the shorter hours and no nighttime entertainment. I wouldn't hesitate to visit MK on a MNSSHP day, even a Sunday. In fact, I've been to MK on a MVMCP Sunday, and I even left early because I did everything I wanted to (I did a second day later in the week).

Great thank you!

I guess I am trying to think of the trade off in the mind of average Joe Disney goer in terms of wanting to see MK at the beginning of their vacation vs the lack of evening entertainment and early close time. I can see the latter being a major turn off to people who don't have to be back in the room by 8 PM anyway :)

Actually, Josh at easyWDW feels that that's the reason to generally avoid MK on Mondays - that a lot of people start their vacations on Sunday and want to do their first full day at MK. (Actually, that's why I do Sunday at MK - I arrive on Saturday and want to do MK on my first full day.)

Makes sense. I am the same as you and generally arrive on a Saturday so I am thrilled that MK is recommended on the Sunday that I will be there :)

Halloween and Christmas party Sundays are my absolute FAVORITE time to visit MK. It's usually very quiet, enjoy! :goodvibes
