Magic Kingdom Day 1 Will this work? EDITED 3/13

This is mainly for me to know which FP to book and where to position ourselves throughout the day. We will have 8 yo and a 5.5 yo. If it doesnt play out this way thats fine too!
I thought that BTM was going to be closed for our trip, but I just read it would be closed in August?? Also, no more FP+ for Wishes correct?

I know this will be a full day!

May 23rd Magic Kingdom 9am


* Get to rope drop 8:30

1. Straight to Fairytale Hall see A &E

2 Under the Sea

3. Enchanted Tales

4. Peter Pan FP***(10:00-11:00)

5. It’s a small world??

6. Philharmagic

7. Winnie the Pooh

8. 7DMT FP*** (11:00-12:00)

9. Lunch Pinocchios Village

10. Barnstormer/Tea Cups

11. Hotel for rest even if we don’t want to

12. CRT ADR 5:45

13. Splash Mountain FP*** (6:45-7:45)

14. Pirates

15.Haunted Mansion????

16. Parade and Wishes (Parade- Peco Bills or Hall of Presidents 20-30 minutes before Wishes- In front Caseys Corner 30min before)

When are you going? Anna and Elsa lines have been shorter - 40 minutes at 9:52 - I don't know what will happen when schools are out. It may be hard to get Belle in if the line is long at rope drop. Be at the entrance by 8:15 to get ahead of the crowd.

I can see an issue with the 10-11 time period. It's a Small World is about eight minutes and Philharmagic 12 and you could be stuck in queue for 15 - 20 minutes. Pooh is slow loading and the line is showing 25 minutes right now. You may have to delay the return to your resort by 20-30 minutes to make this work.

May 23rd If we have to skip something in the 10-11 time frame thats fine too. We will have a second MK day.

I think you may have to cut out some or all between 10 and 11. If you don't make it through your 3 as quick as you think, you will be riding PP towards the end of your window. If that does happen, you may have to jump to 7DMT before hitting the others. If you are definitely going back to the hotel in the early afternoon, you could save time by grabbing a bite for lunch once you get back instead of eating in the park.

It shouldn't too bad. The next week attendance will be much higher with Memorial Day. Our school ends at the end of that week.

If you have nothing planned for rope drop on the second MK day, you could start with Pooh and cut out that wait.

You may have a specific reason to plan Splash for that time period. If you moved another FP into the morning, you could grab a FP for later that evening before you leave. We had multiple FPs after the first three on a couple of days last May. My kids wanted to do the three mountains on our last day so I booked Space for late afternoon as a fourth FP and got a BTMRR after that.

The MK is much easier to get additional FPs than any of the three other parks.

***EDITED Added additional FP for splash mountain before we leave the park. Is this a better or worse idea? Would I then be able to grab a 4th FP for say Pirates or BTM? or is that unlikely?

I think Pirates is more likely but you might get lucky with BTMRR. We are going the first full week of June and I plan to ride btm at rope drop one day and during MSEP or wishes the other days.
