We're arriving for a 2 week trip on 8/2, and 8/3 is our first day at Magic Kingdom.
I had heard the Anna / Elsa mania, FP+ and 7DMT have changed things quite a bit since our last trip in summer 2012. We used to like to get there a little early and get up near the front for park entrance after the opening show. If our plan is to try to get in and go straight to Mine Train ... what time should we arrive to get somewhere near the front for entry ? Are they still opening the park gates at 9am after the show, or are they opening slightly early ? Are they still walking guests to Fantasy Land so maniacs don't stampede people trying to get autographs from actresses pretending to be cartoon characters ?
Thanks for any advice. We're still deciding whether the Mine Train is worth even minimal effort to go ride, or whether we'd have more fun taking it slower, veering off to Frontierland and riding other stuff while the lines are still tolerable.
