Who was at MK this day? We thought the crowds were heavier than our trip last Oct. I'm always curious what others thought of the crowds on the same day. One of the worst places to be was around splash moutain because it was shut down for a couple of hours(complete bottleneck). The CM said someone got off the ride so they shut it down to look for him. :confused3 We did have success with finding good spots to watch the parades. We walked all the way to town square and got good spots on the train station side(30 minutes before parade time). The last couple of times we have found that frontierland gets more and more crowded for the prades. The seating around the trees in front of the arcade goes at least one hour ahead of parade time. We did get most of the rides in with fast pass...just didn't get to go more than once. OH.....never take the ferry in the am...it took forever! We lost about 30 minutes...we thought we were going to get right on but the closed the gates and we stuck waiting for the next one. :rolleyes2

Unless the monorail is CLOSED, I never take the ferry.
It takes 3-5 times longer than the monorail.

If its SPEED you want, the ferry ain't your ride!

.....and don't learn the hard way by trying it. :teeth: Oh, and don't pay attention to the CM telling you the ferry is quicker...that's what threw us off. I couldn't believe it took 30 minutes...what a waste.

I left Florida on the 22nd but I can tell you that the previous week and the weekend were the busiest I have ever seen WDW. It was wall to wall people. The park where you can usually chill out has always been AK but with the addition of Everest it was just as crowded as the rest.

I guess from a stock holders viewpoint it is a great thing. From a tourist point of view it is a major hassle. Longer waits everyplace and lines that form even to just get a Mickey Bar.

It does show that WDW still can draw large crowds even during a time when most schools are still in session. There were an awful lot of kids "skipping" school last week, that's for sure.

The last time I remember seeing MK parking lot as full was when all that existed was Magic Kingdom. I could have retired just on the parking lot receipts for the week.

We were there, on Wed. and it was crowded, but I was expecting more. We were able to do do all of the big rides and the smaller ones. Fast pass worked great. The longest line we stood in was to see Ariel that was for 30 minutes, it had been 60 min earlier in day, but we waited til later that afternoon and it was down to 30. We were able to fast pass Splash and BTM, there are definately crowd problems in this area, there is not near enough room in between these two rides IMHO. And my kids were on Spring Break at this time along with alot of other schools. We got home yesterday morning and I can't believe its over, we had so much fun and the weather was great. The park I thought was more crowded than usual was Epcot, we were there two different days and it was more crowed than I have ever seen it. I always expect MK to be really crowded, but I expect Epcot to be easy to get around and while it was not unbearable, it was definitely not empty. Vacations over, now back to the real world
