Magic Key Terrace remodel

It’s definitely a “click bait” marketing strategy. And I agree that booking will be nearly impossible!

It’s just a bit of a remodel to what is already there. The concept art looks to still be all open air. We were seated on that side during our Magic Key Terrace reservation last year, overlooking the wharf. The main problem they were having with reservations, when it first opened, was parties were staying for long periods of time, making it hard to keep to the reservation schedule. The menu is currently very limited. They could have it like Lamplight Lounge, closing prior to World Of Color, allowing last reservations to remain for the showing. I laugh at the Club 33 comparison.

It's Nothing like C33 or the 33 lounges. They are relaxing and open. This will be a stress-inducing experience just to hang out at Wine Country Trattoria.

It has always been wasted space. We use to go there often before it was the key lounge and it was empty most of the time. Seems like a good move

From the linked article:
"The passholder bar and eatery will expand from the terrace on the second floor of the Golden Vine Winery into the former dining room of the Vineyard Room restaurant once run by the Robert Mondavi Winery when DCA opened in February 2001. "

Does this mean it will be larger than the Magic Key Terrace as it is now? Because when I went in Dec, it didn't hold that many people. I'm confused by the wording about it expanding into the "former dining room."

I do think it looks nice and I like the idea in theory, but how many people can it actually accommodate at once? And PLEASE. Do they think Magic Key Holders are automatically stupid and will buy into the Club 33 comparison?

Kim Irvine did the Club 33 remodel and is doing this one too. That is about the only connection.

I love the comparison to Club 33. Except the members of Club Magic Keys has 500,000 members and each can bring 3 guests. You can't get a reservations now for the next 60 days, wonder if they think advertising it will make it more available??
Oh my gosh, this was my EXACT thought when I saw the remodel plans! 🤦‍♀️

I hope they revamp their menu because the idea of the terrace appeals to me but the current menu doesn’t.

I keep wanting to go again (went when it was super easy to get a reservation during the Legacy days), but then I look at the current menu and remember it's not worth the trouble it is now to get a reservation 😂

This is great news. That upstairs dining room is pretty large so this remodel will basically quadruple (or more) the current capacity.

I think some people think it's just a retheme of the current space. It's not. It's an EXPANSION.

Should be FAR easier to get into, and I would hope they would keep it as primarily walk up availability.

They were already using this covered “expansion” area for magic key when outside terrace portion was full. This was September 18. It will become more decorated.B8296E85-372B-4469-9211-2936127DBA87.jpeg37B8A8C7-FCE3-4D4F-9295-264391D0BE8F.jpeg

I can't tell if it's the same space we were in when we visited the MK terrace in Dec or if they are adding more space to that. We were in the area Wedgeout pictured above, and the illustrations looked to be about the same as where we were seated. Was there more to that dining area that they're expanding into?

I thought the MK terrace was that little covered patio area to the right as you go upstairs. To the left is where we were seated in Dec., so I'm confused about the whole scope of what's considered MK terrace.

I wasn't aware they had already expanded the MK terrace seating into that space. Last I was there was in July, and at that time it was just the tiny Alfresco Tasting Terrace to the right after you go up the stairs. We haven't bothered trying to go back since then because it is never available.

Nonetheless, Disney is calling this an expansion of the current space, so it seems that it will, at the very least, offer more space for seating and lead to a higher capacity than what is currently available. It seems that the "new" terrace will include all the upstairs space.

Hopefully they expand/upgrade the food menu. We have seen availability on a few trips but the menu offered was not appealing to us. I know others enjoy it.
