I'm wondering if it will just be Inspire and/or Believe. It doesn't make a lot of sense to sell the other two right now since they are about to be blocked out for 2 months.

AP's used to be available year round. So...
Disney has pools of Tickets

Before it was anyone could just enter the parks now Sale Tickets, Normal Tickets and MK are all in different pools of how many are allowed in a Day

Disney because of AI and years of data knows around how many people are planning to come to the park now for the 70th so if they are opening this again to me it tells me normal tickets aren't selling like they want

Disney used to value APs but since Covid they value normal tickets more but....because of travel being down to the US, inflation and just in general Disneyland costing much more now then it used to (this separate from inflation Disney has been popular so they can just charge more then they ever have before covid along with taking away things like free bread and small food portions but for more money). It seems like for now they might have to rely on MK's more then they want

Disney may also open Magic Key sales more frequently now based on renewals.

They have a constant 'flow' of guests who chose to renew vs non-renewal compared to other theme parks that offer season passes matching actual calendar year.

My assumption is that they want to have X number of MK at each level. A few times a year the re-evaluate and decide whether or not to put MK back on sale or not. They could of course also re-evaluate how many MK they want as well.

How does the monthly payment plan work when you upgrade outside of your renewal period? Do you need to pay a lump sum for the difference in annual cost, or is your monthly payment increased accordingly for the remainder of the year?

If your MK as expired, I would assume you would need to buy a new MK and would need to pay the initial price

No, we currently have an active MK on a monthly payment plan. However, we want to upgrade. I'm not sure how the expense is processed- ie. a 1-time $400 for the difference, or by increasing our monthly payments. Hope that makes sense. :)

I believe you need to pay in full and the amount is not pro-rated.

I think they're just shifting tactics. They pulled these two in February - probably to see what ticket sales would look like for this summer and how much remaining space they'd need to fill. (Enchant stuck around until April, which makes sense now - might as well fill up the available space before they're blocked out.)

They generally haven't sold MKs during the summer - seemingly to avoid selling the blocked-out passes. But that leaves a hearty part of the year without MK sales. If they're relying on day ticket discounts, might as well try to capture those visitors for an annual pass.

You’d likely have to pay the difference in full up front.

I’m curious how attendance compares years’’ past. The parks seem more crowded, the garages are regularly filling up and the Toy Story parking lot is fuller than ever.

At this point, just seems as if Disney doesn’t care how many passes it sells.
