Magic Key renewal/expiration date?

Hello! I renewed my magic key in October but didn’t use it until this past weekend. My magic key still states that it will expire in October 2023. In the past I think the expiration date would be one year from the first use? Is it now policy that the key expires one year from purchase rather than first use?

If you renewed it, it's a continuation. So yes, it will expire in October.

What you are referring to is a new pass purchase.

On the topic, I'm wondering if there is a renewal window of 30 days allowed to renew your pass after the expiration date? Or do you need to renew BEFORE the pass expires? Thanks
