Magic in the Making...Our Family Takes on the World for the Very First Time! W/PICS!

UH-OH!

I made have found out why the last time I visited Home Depot there were very few LGMH's! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Seriously though, as I was reading your pre-trippie, I hadn't even looked to see where you were from then I got to the part about Gurnee Mills and was like hey were in the same neck of the woods. I live in SE WI also (about 10 from the IL border).

Anywho, love your pre-trippie!!!

Sounds like your family will have a wonderful time!

Howdy Neighbor! Glad to see there are other Diser's from our neck of the woods! Sorry about getting carried away and taking all the LGMH's...I'll try to control myself next time!:rotfl: Thanks for stopping by!

Kristi:goodvibes

Soooo...it seemed like just yesterday we were doing the double digit dance:banana: at our house and we're still on a roll!!! We have so much to do, but I'd like to share our latest updates! I added a few additional ADR's to our stay....
First Night we are going to Kona for a late lunch/early dinner (2:45pm). Not sure on the timing yet, but since we'll be paying OOP, thought it might be a
great way to experience this restaurant without breaking the bank
And who can resist that Lapu Lapu???:drinking1

I also changed our Animal Kingdom Breakfast at Restaurantasaurus to Ohana's at 7:35 AM (whoa...that's early!) but the kids adore Lilo and Stitch, so I thought it was a better fit for our family and since we'll have a rental car, transportation shouldn't be a huge issue! It's definately going to add a little more running around on our Animal Kingdom day, but I think it will be worth it!

And the most exciting part for us (DH and I)....drum roll please;) ...we are having a Date Night at WDW!!! My DILaws have offered to watch the kids for an evening, so we can go our and enjoy some of the more adult oriented Disney Fun!:woohoo: We have a 7:00pm ADR at Concourse Steakhouse and then I think we'll head over to Pleasure Island! I'm definately open to suggestions for this evening, as I wasn't planning on this!

I've also been searching and researching the whole Croc phenomenon:surfweb: ...and we're just about to jump on the bandwagon! It's just a little pricey for shoes, so I'm just waiting to push the purchase/submit button:laughing: DH will probably get the original Beach or Caymen crocs...He wears a size 13:scared1: so he's somewhat limited, I will probably get a pair of Mary Janes and Cleos with the good intention of returning 1 pair:rolleyes1 or not!;) and I'm going to get the kiddos each a pair of the new Croclings, with the stretchy material at the top to help keep them on their feet. Both of the kids are right in between Crocs sizes, so I figured I'll be safer with this design...we'll see!

The kiddos and I have been going through their Birnbaum's Disney Kids book, and they've been working on their to-do lists for Magic Kingdom:goodvibes ...I am thouroughly enjoying watching their excitement as we plan our vacation:cloud9: I'll definately post our list, when it is complete!

Finally, just for a few giggles:rotfl2: I have to share what my DS said, or rather did, this evening. A few posts back there are a few pics of him playing football and he is soooo excited to actually be playing on a team this fall, so we went shopping this evening to buy him all of his equipment:faint:Wow! It was a small fortune for this stuff:eek: ...anyways...we got him everything he needed: pads, helmet, mouth guard, pants, practice jersey, athletic supporter (this is where the story gets funny, so grab your Depends ladies and gents, cause I definately needed mine!:lmao:) We didn't think much of getting him the athletic supporter and he didn't ask any questions, so we assumed he knew what it was for...until we got home! We were going through all of his new treasures and taking everything out of the packages, and I look at my innocent, blonde hair, blue eyed baby...and he's trying to somehow fit the cup part of the supporter on his nose! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: He honestly thought it was some kind of guard for his nose...and the poor guy was clueless as to why mommy was cracking up! :rotfl2: Now telling him what it was really for...now that's another story!:thumbsup2 If I only had my video camera rolling, We may have been contenders on Americas Funniest Videos!:yay:

I know I've been rambling on and on...so I'll head to bed for the evening! Happy Reading...and a special shout out to all the lurkers! Come Out, Come Out wherever you are!:lmao: I've been there, done that! :cutie:
I totally understand!:goodvibes

Kristi =-)

The athletic supporter incident is HILARIOUS!!!:rotfl2:

I love it! And just think how much better that story will get when your DS is a teenager!

Your date night sounds like it will be so nice.

Your trip is getting so close!

It was soooo funny! :lmao: I'll definately remind him...ohhh...around the time he brings home his first girlfriend!;) I'm really looking forward to our date night! Your trip is getting close as well!:goodvibes
Thanks for sticking with us!:cutie:

Too funny about the athletic supporter!! :lmao: I remember when my cousin started playing baseball. He was about 10. He came home and told my aunt and uncle he needed a "nut cup". His younger brother - about 5 - wanted to know why they were going to eat peanuts on the baseball field!!! :rotfl:

I would say keep both the Cleos and the Mary Janes. I have a pair of each and love both of them. They're both such different styles and I have different uses for each. What colors did you get? I wanted cotton candy fr my MJ's, but they didn't have them at Dick's. So, I bought the seafoam. My sister bought the Cleo's for me in pearl/celery.

Your changes sound like alot of fun. I'm sure you and your husband will really enjoy the night out. :thumbsup2

I'm with you on the Crocs thing.. I actually went to a local store last week and tried some on. The regular ones do not fit me (7 is too small, 8 is too big) but the Mary Janes in size 8 were perfect. However this store did not have any good colors in my size. I've been looking on-line and can't decide whether to get them or not.. I also looked for my dd. I think she is in-between sizes now so I might wait another month to see... I would like to get the MJ in cotton candy for her but can't seem to find her size. The store I went to had kid's Disney crocs on sale (just the yellow and green ones)... but I know my dd will want pink.

How nice to have a grown-up night!! Enjoy!!

I still haven't actually pushed the Purchase button...I still have them in my "cart"...I'm looking at getting brown Mary Janes and the White/Celery Cleos...I know, I know, Kind of boring! ;) I should venture out and get some cute colors!party:

For Crocs, I've definately had the most luck at crocs.com for size/color/style selections and there's a code floating around crocsavp07 which is suppose to be a 20% discount...I can't vouch for it yet as I haven't actually made the purchases yet, but I'll let everyone know!

Can't wait for our Grown-Up time!;)

I am loving it, and your kids are adorable! The time is going to fly---believe me. Especially once school starts back up!

I'm IN! Such an adorable family you have, and I am impressed by your planning skills for a first timer! I'm really enjoying this report and I can't wait to read more. :goodvibes

I am glad you chose Kona for your first day. I absolutely love that place. The Polynesian resort is one of my favorites also. You just can't go wrong there. Also, I think it was a good choice to switch from Breakfastasauras to Ohana, especially since your kids love Lilo & Stitch (as do I;) )
