No warning here. in fact we seem to be heading for a 1 day high of 70 or higher tomorrow. Really freaky considering what's going to be going on above us.

Good idea. I will do that. We've already shoveled twice and the actual storm will not be here until later this evening. The snow now is part of a smaller system moving through. Its only about six inches so far, but I figured with all the forecasted snow we better stay on top of it.

At least its a good reason to stay home and catch up on all the happenings online!

All that snow looks fun...course since we don't have snow here. But we have 32 degress right now and rest of week's low is supposed to be in upper teens and lower 20's. Everyone wants to stay home and not go anywhere cuz its cold. I"m loving this cold because we don't get it much. Besides, it's getting us ready for our ski trip in a few weeks.

Wow, I don't believe how much I totally missed out on. 10 pages? I just can't seem to want to get on the computer at home when I am on it all day at work. to the newbies. As you can see, we have a bunch of fun people here. I am also a first time cruiser so I am soaking up all the info. I did buy a pirate outfit after Halloween that is really cute for around $10. We aren't dress up people much either so will do it for the cruise and I am looking forward to it.
We have managed to only get a few inches of snow here in CO where I am but our HIGH temp today is -8 and that is not counting the windchill. Glad I don't have to go outside until I leave for home.

I'm in Wisconsin - kind of between Milwaukee and Chicago. So we're used to a lot of snow here. But everyone is saying this one will be a doozy! It makes it worse with the high winds. So, other than fequent shoveling, I'm staying warm and cozy inside!

Wow! You guys really have it cold up and out there!!! Down here in the south, it's 55 degrees, there's a 'wind warning' lmao:kills me 'cuz they don't have a clue here compared to hurricane states), and it might hit 29 tonight. We have a chance of snow flurries on Friday, so we will see. We've had a busy Jan for down here though, actually had 4 inches one day, and two weeks later, 2 more inches. Everything shuts down here for as much as an inch! Hope you all fare well and warm!

ok...since this is "OUR" cruise y'all...Do you or don't you decorate your doors?

My 12dd saw the threads and really wants to do it...gives me 1 more thing to do...and I soooo don't know how to load magnetic papers, use the copier for that, etc...

Just saw the national weather forecast and it looks like a real mess up your way. Best of luck to you. Stay safe and warm through it all. Are you under a snow emergency order? We were last year several times. DW is a nurse and is allowed to go out and it is scary being out and no one and I mean no one is on the roads. We watched Al Roker in Chicago on the national news this evening almost get blown over by the wind and snow. I think he lost too much weight.

I absolutely LOVE decorating our door. We also use a magnetic dry erase board to leave messages for each other. Also, the kids make lots of friends onboard, so sometimes they will leave messages to let them all know where they are.

Wow!!! Emily and I are trying to figure out stuff, but we're not the best on printing...lol. Your door looks great!!! And love the FE..did you make it? I've seen several cute ones on etsy and ebay, but we've got so much to do, I haven't signed up for that yet!

Y'alls looks great! With all this bad weather, makes us really look forward to it! Can't wait to see another count down!

We are supposed to get about 20 MORE inches. We got about 8 today. We are used to the snow. That wind makes things bad though. Some of the towns issue snow emergencies, but they really don't enforce it if you are driving slow and careful. Life carries on pretty well through most storms. But all the schools and some businesses are already posting closings for tomorrow.

Of course we do

Its cheap and easy. You get the DISsigners to make what you want. We didn't use magnetic paper on our cruise. i just went to Office Max and had them laminate everything and attached magnetic tape. Worked well enough. Almost 3yrs later some of our Magnets are still stuck to the fridge I have a printer this time, but don't know yet if i'll use the magnetic paper or not.

I agree!

In a long hallway of white doors it is nice to know exactly which is yours!

I also used magnetic tape instead of magnetic paper - much easier!

I've been through an awful lot of snowstorms, and even several blizzards.

But I've never seen a warning like this. All of southeastern Wisconsin is under a Civil Danger Warning. Which kind of looks like: "Stay home cuz if you get stuck we can't come get you."

They're even advising people not to leave their cars and to run their engines for 10 minutes per every hour......I think I'll stay right here at home!

yes I plan on decorating the door. I found some great ideas on the magnet thread on here. I have a laminator at home so plan on doing that and using magnetic tape. I can't wait and I am sure it will help find my door especially on those late nights.
We are a balmy -22 this morning. I think we get up to 8 tomorrow so a heat wave coming. My uncle in SC has gotten more snow than us this year which is crazy.
