I'm on Deck 7.

At least I don't have to go far to get to the party!

So Excited Y'all!!! Yep, you'll notice us for sure. We'll be the ones where the 12 year old is 'rip raring' to go, but I'm nudging the fil to move faster! It'll drive me crazy for sure. Hopefully the inlaws will want their own time...teehee

Thanks for making this southern disneychik feel so welcome!

DCL does not consider guests as platinum until 10 cruises have been completed so you may not get all the benefits until your 11th cruise. A good excuse to book another cruise. We were not considered as gold until our 6th cruise. Too bad they to do count days with your PC cruises you would qualify as platinum easily.

I know that, what I was trying to say is that this cruise will make us Platinum. That is why we are calling it our Platinum cruise. Edited to add: oh and we do have our 11th booked but it is a dummy date on the Fantasy. We are waiting to see what the rest of 2012 holds then we will move our res but the one that is there we are not taking.

Hello, anyone with teen girls sailing? I'll have my 15 year old daughter on board. I worry there won't be many high school girls on a Disney cruise, especially during the school year.

Can't believe how busy this thread has been I am reading back on posts I have missed.
Our eldest daughter Meghan is 14 but will be nearly 15 on the cruise. On our last cruise there were lots o friends that our DDs met they cant wait to hang out in the clubs again. In Scotland our schools have 2 weeks break so oct Is getting to be a popular time for holidays.

:cheer2:

Ohhhh...wish my youngest was that age...she really wants to make a friend on this cruise. She's 11 but will be 12 by the time of the cruise! But hey, friends can come in any ages! She's sooo excited!

Tigger/Pooh4...LOVE your countdowns!!! I had to call the Inlaws this morning and tell them only 36 more weeks! I like the sound of that better than ALL those days!!

These boards sure help keep the momentum up! My dd and I eat/sleep/wake up thinking about this cruise! We had to go buy more cute Disney Mickey Water Bottles today at Target to surprise the family! This is terrible, we can't get our minds off this cruise....teehee:)

Wow! Great video!!! Did y'all bring your own snorkel equipment or did you rent?
Loved all the fish, looked like soooo much fun!

Thanks for sharing!

We have our own snorkel and mask. If you plan to snorkel more than one time it is cheaper to just go ahead and buy them. We have fins also but do not ever bring them on vacatio with us because they are just too big.

Who wants to join the fun? its 9:30 and Dh and I are about to install a toilet. It was just supposed to be replacing the bolts in the old tank:lmao::rotfl2:

So much for that:rotfl2:

ewwww.....I know how that can go! My dh is the son of a plumber, when we built our house (we were the contractors), my dh put in the toilets/sinks/baths, etc. But when you're replacing them? I'm just always afraid he didn't cut off the water in the right place!!!:goodvibes

Good luck with that tonight...NOT my fav thing to do on Sat night for sure!

Ok...I did it! Spent all of tonight reading all of these 40 pages!Feel like I already know about some of you:goodvibes...
Loved seeing all the pics of former Eastern cruises..think my dd and I went to that beach in St Martin right off from the cruise ship, and the ladies kept driving us crazy wanting to braid our hair.
Loved hearing where some of you are staying beforehand. I actually got a great deal last week for Hilton Disney World for $71 a night! As most of you know, its the only Downtown Hotel that lets you use early am/pm hours at the parks..lol, we're going to DTD anyway, but I love to be close to the action!
A couple of things I noted since this is our first and correct me if I didn't get it right. We CAN board early, but don't have access to our rooms until 1? So we can go to Topsiders -deck ? But Topsiders has the outside seating so you can see right? And won't we want to be on the deck where the Sail Away Party is to feel apart of it? I've got more to ask, but I've got to write some of this down...ya know...it's the mind that's the first thing to go!:goodvibes

Well its done. Mostly:rolleyes:

Seat isn't sitting quite right, but its all on and the water works, so we'll deal with the seat tomorrow. Otherwise it was just a matter of the toilet being so close to the wall that made it difficult. Next house is going to have a better designed bath. There was NO changing this 1, believe me, if we could have when we had to redo it, we would have.

Wow, what an offer. How could anyone turn that down. :rotfl2: Sorry but we had a power outage yesterday from 6pm to 11pm. The bad part is in was dark by then and have a gas forced air furnance (ie no heat :scared1:). So it started to get a bit chilly by the time the power came back on. Hope your home repair works out for you. The joys of home ownership.

That reminds me with all the snow I forgot to post the TGIF pic of the day.

Boarding starts for the Magic around 11:45am and the staterooms will become available around 1:30pm. The port opens around 10am to 10:30am. People like to arrive early to get a low boarding number so they can get on the Magic and start their vacation as early as possible. While waiting until 11:45am you can take pictures with the characters in from the Magic model, check in the kids to the clubs and check out the terminal and view of the Magic.

Topsiders has both indoor and outdoor seating. We like on embarkation day to sit outdoors on the back of the ship with the view of Port Canaveral and Cape Canaveral. We think it is a great way to start a sunny vacation

You also have the choice of a sit down lunch at Parrot Cay. It is the same food at either location. Some crusiers like this option as it is sit down with CMs serving you drinks and a place to put down your carry ons. It is also a nice place if it is raining.

The sailaway party does not start until 4:30pm so you have plenty of time from lunch until then. The sailaway party is a must do.

I always skip the sail away party. I like to have quiet time on deck 4 watching the ship pull out. I do the same for the fireworks. I just watch them from deck 4 then up to get some food from the buffet.

Thanks for posting those embarkation day pictures! It brings back such fun memories. I love the first day on the ship. We always eat outside with a view of the port too. It is so relaxing to know that you are "home" for the next seven days and have nothing but happy memories in front of you!

That sounds fun too. I may try something more low-key like that this time.

Just wanted to say 'Hi' to all of you on the Magic Oct 8-15th! Our family will be there, dh, myself, ds 24, dd 23, dd 12, and mil/fil. We are pumped! Have never been on a Disney Cruise, so what can I say? I can't seem to get anything done but get on Disboards to find out all our info.!!!

Hope to get to see fellow dis'ers, as I've never seen any lime at the parks and we go almost every year! So count sullins5 (although there's 7 of us), and we'll see ya there!

Celebrating!!!:yay::yay:

Welcome! I will be with my 13 year old daughter and my 14 year old son.

You are gonna LOVE this cruise!
