Happy New Year!!!

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is that time of the week again. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

weeks to go to the Magic. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hi everyone!

We're joining you all on this cruise. There are four of us (in two staterooms)

Me (Lisa) and DH Darrell - this will be our 13th cruise.
My sis Jen and niece Lila (10 at time of cruise) - this will be their 3rd cruise.

We tried an Eastern cruise in Nov and the weather wasn't great so we didn't get to do anything in St Maarten or St Thomas but shop - though it was still a great cruise :cool1:

We're interested in joining the FE group too if one has been started already.

Where is this bar? I don't remember this 1. Is it on the French side? Last time we stayed on the Dutch side with the weather. This cruise we're gonna do an excursion and hit the airport:lmao:

Got your basic info for the FE. Just need your cabin number and anything else you want to send. I am SOOOO looking forward to this cruise. I just have a little hope that I will do a bit more than sit on the deck the whole time at sea:rotfl2:

I think you're going to love sailing in Oct. On my last cruise we had a little detour due to Hurricane Omar, but otherwise the weather was nice and we got swimming in.

If we could just skip the next 7-8 months and just start packing, that'd be fine by me:thumbsup2

The bar is on the Dutch side in Phillipsburg. It is just off Great Bay beach across from where the Magic docks.
It is quite mild here in Delaware today with the high in the 40s with some light rain. Hopefully we will have a warm January after a cold Decemeber.
I hope your search for a new position is going well.

Hello cruisers! We're back and dug out from the East Coast storm here in CT. We got 18 inches.

We've booked our Wedding on board and will be on Castaway Cay at 10:30 Am on the 14th.

We currently have the following confirmed traveling with us by Room:
John and Beth: Bride and Groom
Nancy & Dave: Parents of the Bride
Emma and Lethia: Mother of Groom and youngest sister of groom
Susie and Josh: Sister of groom
Marge and Tony: Matron of Honor and husband
Sandra: Friend of bride
Nolan: Nephew of groom
Sharon and Ken: Aunt and Uncle of Groom

A few are still on the fence. We have yet to call and book the extra rooms for both sets of parents and his sister. We didnt want to drop all that cash at the same time as Christmas. So we're working on that this month.

We're working through the flower and cake selection now, trying to decide what additions we want. Can decide between the Tropical Flowers (orchids) or the Calla Lillies. The Tropical flowers have matching cake topper and tiki torches to line the walkway, but the Calla lillies do not.

My parents are getting ready to go on their first cruise (Celebrity) this week, and glad they will have a chance to have something to compare it too. I told her that while the Celebrity will have a "Vegas" feel to it, the Disney cruise is more of the ole world Queen Mary feel. She is excited about that. We'll see how Dad makes out on this cruise and be able to adjust accordingly for the the wedding.

I am starting to look at ideas for gift bags for each stateroom. Since I am a Stampin' Up Demo, I was going to make some "Rag Bags" by hand with the Black, Red, White and Yellow colors of the Disney Cruise and fill the tote bag with a cruise survival kit with things like Bonine, Lotion, Sunscreen, flashlight, Imodium/Rolaids, cold meds, Lysol wipes and individual use Tide. If you guys can think of anything else to add into the bag, let me know your ideas. I'm not sure what things are of use on a cruise since I've never taken one.

As for the "identifier" for us DISers, I would think something that is wearable all the time, like the lanyard or pin rather then a shirt which can be worn once or twice, but wont be on all the time if we run into someone in the hallway. Seeing the lanyard right away, no matter what day of the trip we can say hi.

Ohh great. I wondered how your wedding planning was going. It sounds like its all going smoothly:thumbsup2

My idea for your gift bag is baby powder. Sprinkle it on and it takes the sand off from the beach lickety split:thumbsup2 Found out about it somewhere on the cruise board. Works like a charm every time.

And if you're so inclined please invite your guests to check in here or our FB group. Both if they'd like:yay:

Anybody here know if its possible to add a poll to the first post if it wasn't originally a poll?

Glad to have you back and your wedding planning is coming along. The big day will be here before you know it (277 days but whose counting :rolleyes1). If you need any help please do not hesitiate to ask since we are crashing the wedding anyway it is the least we can do. We'll be the ones in the hammock in the background in our happy spot.
As for small things as gifts, you may want to give AA batteries for cameras. We go through so many it is unreal. Another suggestion for your guests is for them to bring a LED clock. There is only one clock that does not light up in the staterooms and the staterooms are very dark. Without a LED clock you have no idea what time it is without turn on the lights.
Good luck with your planning!!

Hey fellow cruisers, I am back among the living.:cool1: I hardly ever get sick but when I do it seems to last forever. I was sick all of Christmas week and wasn't completely better until New Years Eve. My DH has had bronchitis though for 2 weeks :sick:and is still trying to get over that so I am praying for a healthy new year. I can't believe our cruise is already 9 mon away which sounds like so much less than 40 weeks. LOL. Welcome Lisa! There are some great fun sounding people here on this cruise and I am sure you will fit right in.

Good idea Tig! I'll make sure to include batteries and a light up clock.

As far as the crashing...come on over, the more the merrier!

Hey Laura.

Glad you're back among the living:thumbsup2 I hope your Dh gets better soon. And personally, I like the 40 weeks better because it takes So LONG to get through a month lately, even though it flies by like wildfire. And I hate to tell you this but 40 weeks = 10 months:rolleyes1

Glad to hear it, because I need to know what what to wear:rotfl2: It'll be my very first cruise wedding:lmao:

We second that thought. I hope you don't mind bathing suits :rotfl2::rotfl2:. I guess that is what you get from wedding crashers :lmao::lmao:. Only 275 days now to the Magic :cool1::cool1:

Love the yachts pic and can't wait for the cruise to get here. :cloud9:

Just back from the groomer's with Onlsow. He looks like a spiffy spiffy boy:thumbsup2 He flipped for Becky today too:rotfl2: he only does that when he's excited. Her assistant said he made up for the Yorkie that came in the same time we did. Apparently this Yorkie=Cujo:scared1:

So now I've got most of my shopping done, at some point today i need to decide and bake a cake for a party tomorrow. And lord knows about my weather. Weather channel says nice and sunny. We just finished running through a snow/ice? squall into the house. Go figure:confused:
