Magic In November with lots of pics!! (COMPLETED!)

DAY THREE PART ONE ~ WE LOVE EPCOT!!!

Mickey calls early, but I do love to hear his voice. ;) Especially today, because we are going to Epcot! I’m not sure what it is about this park that so appeals to our family. Maybe it’s the feeling that you can just hang out there. You’re not rushing from ride to ride, just soaking up the atmosphere.
Soon we were on our way.

Waiting at the gates we had a lovely conversation with a family from Canada who were staying in a cabin at Fort Wilderness. Wish I had gotten their names. (Mental note.)
So here is our plan. At Epcot, Chuck takes Jake and Em to the Character Connection while I get Fastpasses for Soarin’.

Today Jake wanted to go with me so he got to experience first hand a little thing I like to call the Soarin Crush. :scared1: It’s a huge group of people squeezing into a small door of an attraction, then down an even smaller set of stairs. It’s exciting and kind of scary. Makes you think about your life. About what would happen to you if you tripped and fell. About how much you don’t want to trip and fall because you really like to live. About how unDisney it would be to elbow this slowpoke out of my stinking way…… Anway we’re in the building, down the stairs, alive and here’s my favorite part. The Cast members who work at Sunshine Seasons are lining the walk with their Mickey hands, waving and clapping and cheering us on. They look so happy to see us. (Maybe they fake it well, but I fall for it.) I tear up every time. So there’s a secret you know about me. Waving Cast Members make me cry. Don’t hold it against me.
With Fastpasses in hand, we proceed to the Seagulls at the Seas. I liked the new Nemo ride. It’s peaceful and dark and Peach at the end is hilarious. (Sing with me “In the big, blue world…..)
Afterwards, Em told me Mickey was in his new Million Dreams suit in the Character connection. Another secret about me, I love Mickey. I’ve got my pic with him in all his different outfits, so I had to go. It was deserted.

When I told Mickey how pretty he looked, He puts his hands on his hips and stared at me. I quickly changed that to handsome.
Minnie was beautiful and showed me how her dress could spin.

It was so deserted that Pluto and Goofy started playing Slap to pass the time.

Sorry again that it's sideways.
The Chipmunks had a ball with Em. I didn’t think I was going to get her back.

After a quick journey with our friend Figment, it was FP time for Soarin’. While they ride, I check out my favorite shop Mousegears. As you know I have no spending money this trip, so I mostly look and feel sorry for myself. :sad1: There was a pirate captain Mickey I wanted soooo badly. The store was just depressing me, so I went out to sit with the Fountain of Nations. The Disney magic was at work because the next show was my favorite, Standing in Motion. So maybe things weren’t so bad, I thought. Come on, I’m in WDW, for heavens sakes. Some people dream of going all their life and never make it. So I can’t buy anything. Come on, girl, get over it and have some fun. (OK pep talk over.)
When my family returns from their flight, we headed to Test Track which was down. Oh well, let’s have lunch. Chuck surprised us with nachos and churros at Cantina de Santa Angel. I guess he did have some money put away.

Coming soon: DAY TWO PART TWO ~ And for dessert, Off Kilter!

HI-

LittleBlue22 from the smilie thread here!

Our children can’t miss too many days of school each year so sneaky people that we are, we found out if you are in school until 10:40 you are counted for the whole day.

Hmmm, I wonder what my school district's policy is :goodvibes :scratchin:

Wonderful trip report:thumbsup2 Im looking forward to the rest.:goodvibes

Thanks!! I'm having a ball writing it, but it makes me miss WDW so much. But hopefully, when this trippie's is done, I can start on a Pretrippie for June!!:cool1:

Lynn, great job! I'm really enjoying this - more please! I just realised we were there at the same time - well, we went from 24 Oct to 9 November - what dates were you there?

You have a beautiful family! :goodvibes Your daughter is the spittin' image of ya! :)

Fabulous photo!! :thumbsup2

About how unDisney it would be to elbow this slowpoke out of my stinking way
:lmao: Hee hee. UnDisneylike but so tempting!

I never knew about the cast members waving to people in The Land. Sounds great!!! I can understand why the tears welled up!

Character Connection was deserted when we were there too. It's such a fantasic opportunity to meet and interact with the characters and it does seem like it's always empty first thing.

About the sideways photos - if you go into Photobucket and click on a photo it will open up in a new window and you'll see tools above the pic with the option to 'rotate'. Hope that helps!

The Chipmunks had a ball with Em.
I absolutely love Chip & Dale. They are seriously funny - they had my boys in stitches every time we encountered them. Chip wrote in one of our autograph books "Dale is stupid". :lmao:

As you know I have no spending money this trip, so I mostly look and feel sorry for myself. :sad1:
I know. It's so hard to resist all the Disney stuff. :sad2: I wanted to buy everything!! :)

Some people dream of going all their life and never make it. So I can’t buy anything. Come on, girl, get over it and have some fun.
That's the spirit. Still though it would have been nice to have the pirate Mickey too!

And for dessert, Off Kilter!
DH knows Off Kilter's bass player. Well it seems everywhere we go, even 3000 miles from home DH knows someone. One evening in the World Showcase we were passing by when Off Kilter were playing, just about to take a break and DH stops, recognises him, waves and proceeds to have a 20 minute chat to him, like we were down the road in our own town! It made it all too real for me - meeting people from home destroys the fantasy!! :)

Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

Thanks so much for reading. I hope to have part two soon. We came in on Nov. 10 and left Nov. 14. Just missed ya!
Don't worry, I'm saving for that Pirate Mickey. He will be mine, oh yea, he will be mine!
I can't believe your DH knows Mark from Off Kilter! That's like a huge celebrity for me. I listen to their live CD every morning on the way to work. My Dh Knows people everywhere we go, too, but usually because he's put them in jail.::cop:

Just wanted to let you know I'm reading and enjoying your report! Did I miss the reason why you didn't ride Soarin'? :confused3

Denise

This is a great TR so far, and I am loving the pictures. Your kids are cutie patooties! I hate not having spending money too, but I guess I could be happy just being at Disney like you said.

Ok, I didn't ride Soarin' because I'm terrified of heights. I mean:scared1: . I freaked out on Dumbo!! I've ridden Soarin' twice, just to try it and I just keep feeling like I'm gonna fall out, like I can't scoot far enough back into the seat. I haven't heard anyone else having this problem. I have promised the kids I'll ride it again with them this summer, but I will be under the influence of drugs this time.;) Thanks for reading. I can't wait to tell the rest.

Thanks!! I think they got all the good stuff from me and DH and the rest filtered out luckily.:goodvibes It was tough not having money. I didn't realize how much of our WDW trip for me is shopping. But we still had a blast and there are cool things yet to come........

Great report, great pictures. Can't wait for more :goodvibes .

Thanks! I'm home with a hurt back today so I may get to work on it some more. Of course it may be much more interesting written under the influence of pain killers.;)

I am loving your TR! I can't wait to hear more. I noticed your DS's tie-dyed Mickey shirt. I am planning on making some for our family soon. Yours turned out great!
