Hello KingRichard! Don't worry, no Facebook for me either! We are driving also from Western New York. Here's hoping the snow and ice are gone by the time we are going through!! Have a great cruise!!

We are also driving from Michigan. Usually I love a road trip, but we are really rethinking this decision with this weather. We live in Canton. Not to far, King Richard. We will be leaving Friday evening. Hoping the weather holds till we are far enough south, but then there is the return trip. We will see you on the road. Oh my goodness - is it really 6 days away?

(No Facebook for me either - I've relied on this forum for news.)

I had planned to pack on Saturday, then assemble FE gifts on Sunday, then run to Ikea for a FE hanger.

Until I realized that my DS9 had completely outgrown his Spring/Summer wardrobe (purchased at the beginning of Summer 2013). Darned child must have grown 4-5 inches since September!

So I had to interrupt packing to buy new clothes. Then the car got delayed in the shop (needed all new tires, new brakes, new catalytic heat shield, an inspection, and some other tidbits amounting to the price of this cruise), so no trip to Ikea.

Folks, we will earn the title of the "Lamest FE extender" of this cruise - It's a re-usable small tote bag from the Disney marathon last year! Oh, well... Best laid plans and such.

I've been watching weather forecasts obsessively, and hoping for an uneventful flight on Sunday evening.


I'm so impressed with the intrepid folks that travel by car! Safe travels everyone, and looking forward to meeting some or all of you...

Travel by car was not our first choice!

Flights are getting crazy expensive.

Just booked flights to Vancouver. OUCH

The weather is looking ok(knock on my head).

We leave Saturday and stopping about a third of the way for a overnight.

Wife doesn't want to drive straight through.

We were checking out the menu's and we can't wait(oh the memories of the food). lol

ddixon, my son has done the same thing!!! My daughter too!! I am suddenly running to the store to get clothes that I thought we had also!!!

This is so different than April vacation! gahhhh!!!

We were looking great and now there is a small storm cutting across tonight/tomorrow. Looks like we might miss it ourselves. Hope there is no accidents on the road though in front of us.

If anyone wants Palo it is open the first day. Lots of slots.

Hello all! We are joining on this cruise last minute! We just booked on Tuesday :/. This will be mine and my DD7s 8th cruise! First time with out Daddy. I am so excited to get on the "new" magic!
