Magic Express question

I am returning home for the very first time next Sunday, but I have not received my Magic Express package yet. Does anyone know how early I am suppose to receive the stuff in mail?

The DME packet is usually sent out a short while before your arrival date. If it doesn't come tomorrow I'd call again and inquire.

You are still able to use DME without the packet by going to the DME desk on the first level, Terminal A at the airport. If you checked luggage, you can give them the claim checks and they will get the bags or you can gather them yourself and still ride the DME bus. If you only have carry-on bags, just go to the DME desk and they will be happy to give you the transfer information.

I'd call again to make sure you are on the list. In the past they have even overnighted the documents for some people. For our last trip, we got the information about 2 weeks prior.

I just got mine on Thursday for our trip which starts Feb. 4. It came in a regular #10 envelope, not an oversized envelope. It almost (but not quite) looked like a solicitation mail.

Just called... turned out they they didn't put our apartment number on the address, so it might not be delivered. They also refused to redeliver it because it's too close to arrival date

They did advice me to check-in at their booth in the airport. Hopefully it will all work out.

I'm sure you will have to get your own checked luggage, since you didn't getthe tags. Get that and then go to the desk (otherwise I bet they'll make you go back for it).

For our December trip our tags had the wrong resort so when we got the the airport I just checked in at the ME desk gave them a our airline claim tickets and a description of the bags and "magically" they appeared in our room a couple of hours later. I had my doubts I would ever see my bags again, but we didn't want to haul everything ourselves.

I feel you changejoe! We had a wonderful surprise trip planned for our family in December...and even though we had put in our reservation for MagicalExpress WAY in advance...they claimed they never had our address. Even though we get mail from DisneyWorld like every week. It was fishy....we called like you and they told us the same thing. (Although when Katrina hit back in August, my vacation at that time was moved a couple of weeks back and because of this they fed exed me new sets of luggage tags over night. When I told them this, they claimed it never happened.) They told us it takes 7 days to print tags. Anyways, don't fret. All nine pieces of our luggage arrived in our room in a half timely manner...minus one which was MIA for a few hours. It is totally worth the service though...even if we did not get any tags.

I rec'd mine via Fed-Ex the day before my trip. I called late to make the ME arrangements and was surprised I even got tags on time. We picked up our own luggage at the airport-the people I was with wanted their luggage with them and didn't want to worry about waiting for the luggage. Anyway, they went to getthe luggage at baggage claim and went to ME to check-in. It all worked out.

Thanks for all the insights! I am feeling a lot better now. My parents are going to WDW for the first time and I have bragged about Disney's service so much, so I definitely don't want to disappoint them.

Hopefully I'll receive the tags in time, but if not, I guess I have nothing to worry about

My trip is on Feb 6, and I haven't got anything yet, should I start to worrying?

We are leaving 2/2 and just got our tags yesterday. They are just being slow for some reason right now.

I think it also has to do with where you are at. I am all the way to the west coast, so it took a lot longer than other parts in the US. I would say if you are worried, just give them a call and they will tell you whether they sent it out or not.

However, judging from the previous comments, there is nothing to worry about even if you didn't get your ME tags. Have a good trip
