I got one of the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers free from a post here and just put it away for a "just in case". Well, today while I was working from home and on a conference call, my DD decided to color the wall and TV screen with crayon. A RED crayon! I used Glass Plus Wipes to clean the TV screen, which was a pain, but I got it off. My mom reminded me that I had one of the Magic Erasers so I gave that a try. All the crayon came off the wall and didn't take long or a lot of rubbing either.

That said, I am now going to go to Costco and buy one of the big boxes of these since I have a feeling that I will be using these quite a bit until Haley learns that crayons are for coloring books and not walls or TV screens.

Anyway, thank you to whoever posted how to get the free one.

I subscrib to the P&G Savers Newsletter and they had a link for requesting a sample of their newer version of the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Duo. I hope this link works. I love my "regular" Magic Eraser.

Thanks mad4themouse for the link. I use the erasers alot. Free is even better.

My DH got some of these for work for the guys (he's an electrician). Well he brought one home for me to try and I cleaned everything! Anything that would "never" come clean, is clean now!
I Love it!

Has anyone found that the Magic Erasers leave a residue? I find that they clean just about anything off of anything, but it appears that it may be breaking down the paint and leaving a residue. Just curious?
Thanks.

I love the magic erasers!!! they are the best invention for a mom of a toddler!!!

I work in retail, and bought a box to clean our store with. We have TONS of scuff marks on our walls across the store and in the fittingroom area. I have used the Magic Eraser here at the house before. I was quite impressed how it took off black markings from behind the tv, and our couch that never came clean before.

At work, I put my workers to work. We did the store, and I did notice that the paint seemed to just rub off. I think that's the catch. We aren't just scrubbing off the markings, but the paint as well. And yes, one of my workers used it on the solid door to the stockroom, and accidently used it on the stainless steel, and now the residue won't come off.

Other than that...we love it!

Yes, I noticed this too. It does work well, but I don't LOVE it for those reasons.

Yes, it leaves a residue. At work my boss had someone use one to clean all the scuff marks off the walls down a long hallway. He worked on it all week. Now all the scuff marks are gone, but when you walk down the hall and the light hits just right, you can see HUNDREDS of "grease spots." I think it looked better with the scuff marks. Now it just looks like a bad paint job. These "grease spots" didn't show up for a day or two. Just a warning.

I just used a few of them to clean my boat. We traded our car for an older 17 foot boat that was left uncovered for quite a while. It was so nasty. The Magic Erasers worked on almost everything. I think the only thing it didn't take off were a couple of rust spots where a metal object had rusted while sitting on the fiberglass.

The first time Dd wrote on the walls I scolded her and I washed the wall.

2nd time I scolded Dd and SHE washed the wall. Hmmm. It wasn't coming off, so I showed Dd how to use elbow grease! She finally got it off the wall. She never wrote on the wall again and she will tell today how hard it was and how she had use elbow grease.

Next time your child writes on the wall, Give the child the Magic Eraser and teach them HOW to clean the wall.

I found that it removed the paint from my walls along with the marks! I do LOVE it for everything else though, especially all the Little Tikes-type plastic toys and furniture. Much of the plastic I just could not get clean, it has a fine texture to it that regular cloths and sponges just did not seem to work on. With the Magic Eraser they practically glow, they really look new. I even conned DS into cleaning DD's Little Tikes table that she had colored on...he thought it was cool how the marks "magically" disappeared, LOL.

I could NOT live without the miracle eraser! I have white kitchen cabinets AND white countertop. Everything stains. I used to bleach the countertops (and ended up with bleach spots on the front of half of my shirts lol) but now i just use the miracle eraser. I had laid a wet cookie sheet on the counter and didn't move it for a couple days and it left a huge rust stain. I tried everything for over 2 yrs to no avail and the miracle eraser took it right off. One of the kids also left a permanent magic marker stripe one of the the cabinets and it took it off too!

I use them to scrub my bathroom floors to get all the hairspray up and I don't have to use easy off on my stove anymore. (Can't stand the smell of it!) I also just used one to clean out my fridge. I need to buy stock in this company LOL but I also don't buy near the cleaning supplies I used to and the miracle eraser is non-toxic (can't get any better than that!)

Try it inside your car. Great on Leather seats. And the back of the seats were the kids kick with their shoes.

I love it right up until I used it on my kitchen counter tops. Now I have several "dull" spots where I used it. Took the finish right off : (

DMRick,

Do you have the "shiny" laminate countertops or the matte finish? I have the matte finish and didn't get any dull spots, but I did after using AJAX. I bought this countertop renewal spray at Lowe's and it got rid of those dull spots. You also might try using some kind of car wax or something similar to get rid of them (just an idea).

It's not really shiny..not the gloss, but not dull either. I'll hav eot try the renewal stuff. I'm very cautious where I use these now. I would never have used ajax on my countertops, and I'm kicking myself for not trying this in a less conspicuous spot. It didn't show up right away, so I used it in several areas : (

Worked great on our RV awning..although the joke is, someday we'll go to unwind it, and it will be gone!
