MAGIC Eastern Caribbean Nov 9-16, 2014

We did the late seating last time. It was OK. My daughter was 3 then and it was hard for her (east coasters). This time we are doing main. I think it will be better. What my child liked from the last was the quick dinning where she could go to the play room, while we finished dinner (asking a 3 year old to have a 1 to 2 hour dinner is hard). She asked if we could do that again. (but the dine and play is only for second seating. I am sure I could ask for her to be served quickly so that I could still take her down myself.

This is our first DC and first cruise ever. DH and I just found out about fish extenders and would love to join group #2. We have two adults and DD who is 2. We are in room 7576.

I'd like to sign the rest of my family up, too, who are in 2 other rooms on the cruise. Can I sign up on their behalf?

I'm so looking forward to cruising with you and getting to know you over the next few months!

Hi all my husband and I are going on this cruise too. We would love to join the FE group. Our room is 6647. So 2 more adults for FE group 2. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi everyone

We are joining this cruise - looking forward to visiting St. Thomas again.

Have a great day!

Ken

Welcome to all the newbies. As walter said there is a google sheet to sign up on for the. There are a few other fun things on there too.

If you have facebook there is also the facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/MagicNov92014/

For those of you who don't here is the information on the signups
Please click the link below to add your information for the following activities:
1 - Fish Exchange - Please indicate at minimum the number of people, and the ages and sex for the children. Please also indicate the max # of rooms you would like to participate with. Please note: This is still open. The 1st set of groups is being determined. If you would like to join please add your information in the post 5/19 section. There will be a second group set up from those who are joining after 5/19/2014.
2 - Meet and Greet - Meet up with your fellow individuals that you have met through Disboards or this group.
3 - Private Mixology Class for this group - Disney will offer mixology classes on the ship. Normally it is a limited number of classes. As a group we can request a private class (25 minimum 40 max- if more we can split up int groups). The cost is $15 per person. In the class there will be a lesson on how to make the beverages and a tasting of them. Please note, we will need to have a final confirmation from you 3 weeks prior to the cruise and will need your name and room number. No shows once confirmed will be charged for the class. (per Disney)
4 - Chocolate and Wine for this group. Disney will offer a private wine and chocolate class like the mixology above. The cost for this class is $30.
5- If you are indicating any of the above as yes, please remember to indicate if you are part of a larger group. This will help to keep you all together when items are separated out.
6- A column is on there if there are any events you would like the group to know about. Such as an anniversary or birthday.

Looking forward to meeting you all in November! It looks to be a great cruise! The signup for the second group on the FE will probably have a cut off closer to the cruise (unless a lot of additional individuals sign up) If that is the case we will have a third sign up. For anyone new to FE, we tried to keep it easy and kept the groups to a minimum of 10 rooms but you were able to signup for more if you wanted (some chose 20 to 30). Trying to make it fun for everyone! Let me know if you have any questions!

Just looking at Magic Navigators from recent Med cruise and they are offering the Anna and Elsa meet and greet and Princess Sofia was on board too! Hoping they all remain on board for our cruise!

My daughter would be sooooooo excited if she got to meet anna and elsa. Sophia I don't know if she would be ok with, she gets a little scared of jake and fuzzy head ones like sophia. But not Mickey/minnie/goofy etc. I wonder if it has something to do with proportions. Also she was really scared of buzz.

My DD isn't scared, but last Fall she noticed a huge difference in Sofia and all the other Princesses. She kept asking why Sofia couldn't talk? And then finally concluded that was not the real Sofia.

When I spoke with the shoreside concierge about Anna about Elsa, they said of course nothing is 100% but based on early reports they do expect it to continue on board the Magic.

JKatzz -- Thanks for setting up the FE spreadsheet. My family has been on a few cruises and we always look forward to the FE exchange -- Looking forward to it!

Thank you!

You are very welcome! I love all of this so much! It adds to the fun of the cruise. A lot of people plan this vacation months if not years in advance. This allows the excitement of the cruise to be spread out much further than a normal trip :)

Well good afternoon to my fellow cruise passengers. I wanted to put some more info out there for all FE individuals. I have gotten a few questions and wanted to share the plan. So first for the people part of the 1st sign up for FE (pre 5/19 group). We have had a few people drop off the lists. I have left them on the list but made them red so that you could see the impact. Once we close the second group I will be contacting you to find out if you would like for me to try to replace them with another room. I will try my hardest to align everyone. For the new group, there is currently 10 rooms signed up. We have some in the old group that may want more rooms or replacements so that group looks to be getting larger now. The cut off date for the second group will be 9/2/2014 (this is after PIF) and I hope to get the lists out to everyone by the 9th. We can start a 3rd group for any late individuals. Please let me know if anyone has any issues or concerns with the dates above. Thanks everyone!

Hi everybody! We are now booked for this cruise, we need a vacation, badly!
At first I wanted to go during Thanksgiving, but we ended up deciding this was a better deal, plus we still get Christmas decor, so I am a happy cruiser.

On this trip it will be DH and I and my cousin, his DW and their 5 year of DD.
My cousin and his family have never been on a Disney cruise before, (my cousin has never even been on any type of cruise either), so I am super excited to share my very favorite type of vacation with them.:dance3:

I never had a FE before, so I am making my own and will be signing up for the FE exchange and joining the FB group as well.

We are still figuring out shore excursions and the like, but we have booked Palo brunch (yum!), and started a list of must-do's for this time.

DH and I are seasoned Disney cruisers, but we haven't taken a 7 day in quite a while, so I am extra pumped.

Looking forward to make magical memories!!!

We have our accommodations booked for the week before the cruise and we are just trying to decide where to stay the night before the cruise. Can't wait!!!

We just booked last week. Our first cruise and I am lost? Do I need to book anything other than excursions in advance?
ANy recommendations for excursions…they seem so expensive for a beach day maybe I am missing something? I will pay it though

I have been reading and reading threads and still haven't a clue. I have a dh (grumpy towards all things disney) and a dd 10 and ds 8 the three of us are super excited and dh is not:confused3

As for the FE how many FE gifts roughly would we be bringing? I may be able to fill in for someone that dropped out.

I don't have fb not allowed with my employer
thanks

any help/tips are appreciated…this was last minute and I feel I don't have time to research.:surfweb:

Welcome treehugnmomma! I hooked our first Disney cruise 30 days out. You are ahead of me because you found Disboards! My only source of info was DCL reps that I spoke with on phone. We knew nothing and had an amazing trip! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise. kid areas on ship are amazing and worth researching to get your kids even more excited. My DH just comes along for ride so he says, but our Disney cruises with DD have been his favorite vacations!

I check Disboards regularly for current thread items and use search for my specific questions. Also, don't be afraid to start a thread for a specific question - u will be amazed how quickly others respond to answer.

That said ask away and we will be happy to try and answer questions.
