MAGIC Eastern Caribbean Nov 9-16, 2014

Spoke with DCL today - the Magic 7 night dining rotations have not been published. Typically, formal night is 2nd night and pirate night Is 4th.

So excited! We are about to book this cruise. Just getting our group together. There will be at least 4 of us!

So this will be our second cruise on Disney. We had so much fun on the disney fantasy that we knew we had no choice but to book again. I am very excited about the FE! As soon as we book we will be joining. For those new to disney cruises, if you head over to my blog at the link below it will tell you all about the FE and gift exchange. Also I plan on going all out this time. I plan on dressing up for pirate night. I strongly suggest it. I saw the people who did and they had a great time. I am ordering my daughter the pirate fairy gown at the disney store. Also for those of you with little girls, save a fortune get the princess gown now at the disney store. They are only $35 right now! $10 off. And the ones on the boat I believe are around 60 to 70.
:flower3:

Thank you . I'm learning something new everyday.

I too learn something everyday from disboards!

You are so lucky you found disboards before your first cruise. I had cruise several times before on other lines and was very familiar with cruisecritic. I booked our first Disney cruise 30 days out and found nothing on cruisecritic...we missed out on all the FE fun...but had such a great vacation, we immediately booked our 2nd cruise and thankfully I found disboards. We had so much fun doing the FE with everyone, exchanging FB messaages and meeting on board.

My DD turns 4 in May and says she wants to kiss a dolphin, I doubt she would actually go through with it without a lot of coaxing and maybe not even then...seeing picture of little girl kiss a dolphin vs her getting that close to an actual dolphin, I am not sure I want to pay that much for the excursion to have her back out. Years ago, DH and I did the stingray experience in grand cayman and witnessed a young child being forced into the water terrified and screaming the entire time...very bad experience for everyone on the excursion. His dad tried to justify to all those there that he paid for the experience and the kid was gonna experience it....I just wanted to cry for them all and transport myself far away...

She loves the beach and aquariums, talking to people & exploring. I need to start working out our plans.

I would skip the dolphins. We did it last year in the Caymans with my daughter when she was 4. While she loves feeding them at SeaWorld. This was completely different. You had to stand on a platform and she is very tall for her age and she struggled with the life vest because it made her want to float. The combination was not good. Unsteady child with a large swimming dolphin. Not great. Plus since she was standing on the platform her head was in the middle of their body which made it worse. Now some places might not be like that. They may have you on a different kind of structure.

Thanks. The excursion is over 8 hrs with a long ferry ride there and back. We have done all day excursions pre-DD and they can be very tiring, so I am not anxious to try with 4 year od.

Good Morning Everyone! To help everyone out I compiled a google doc for people to sign up for the FE, meet and greet and the mixology class. This way all the information is in one place. Please feel free to put in or correct any of your information that I have already placed in there. (only put in the information you are comfortable with sharing) This way disboards and facebook groups both have the same information.

To edit the document all you need to do is click on the link and type. It saves automatically. When you leave the doc it is all saved. You do not need a good id to sign into. This is a open doc to people who click the link.

I look forward to seeing you all in November! Happy sailing!

Hey Guys,

If you are trying to edit on a ipad it doesn't work. You can edit the doc on the Ipad if you have downloaded the google drive app on the app store. Then you would need to have done it through a computer once to have it available to you in your recent docs, of if you give me your google name I can share it through google directly then you would be able to edit it through the google drive ap.

The mixology class from law enforcement dad:
Mixology is a class the bartenders give instructing how to make 7-10 different adult drinks. When you walk in they have approx. 7 different drinks on the table for each person. Mudslides, Long islands, Bahama Mamas and Cosmos are some of the prior drinks we've had. They usually will allow the class to concoct their own signature drink as well. I believe it was only $15 pp for the hour class. The instructors are very informative and funny as well....... They do offer the classes at Guest services on a limited basis. It is a minimum of 20 people.

Hi Everyone, Just Booked this cruise with my family, we will be celebrating a wedding and 2 birthdays (my daughter and the groom). We are DVC members and this will be my 3rd Disney Cruise, I just found out about this Disney Board and what it's all about. Still trying to figure out how to navigate the site and do posts and figure out all the abbreviations...lol I feel so out of the loop. I will be on this cruise with my daughter (she is 3 turning 4 during the cruise), my sister and fiance (getting married on the ship), my nephew (he will be 4 on the cruise), and my parents.

Just finding out about Fish Extenders also, that sounds like fun! I

I look forward to posting more and learning more on this site!

That's how I felt when I first got on here, but I'm learning.Terry Redding all the post, maybe you cab pick it up.Lol. my son will be 4 as well, this will be our first Disney cruise and his first all together.I'm very excited.

I'll start a FE list...I need to know how many adults, kids and kid ages and cabin # :)

Hi I just booked this trip and am also just finding out about FE's, it sounds like a lot of fun and would like to participate. I am traveling with my parents (55+), my daughter (3 with a bday on the ship turning 4) my newphew (4.5) and myself (35) in room 8600.

My sister (31) and fiance (34 also having a bday on the ship), they are getting married on the ship, Rm. 6502.

Please add us on the FE list...

Hey everyone, I have updated the spreadsheet for those interested. I added a column for Max number of rooms for the FE. Also I added if you are part of a larger group so that when items get split up your group stays together.
I wanted to check to see if anyone was interested in doing the wine and chocolate tasting. The cost is $30 per person. Let me know if there is interest and I will add to the spreadsheet. (this would be a separate class from the mixology one that is $15)
