i know it's only a 2 week drydock in Feb, but any rumors about little surprises that she might come out of drydock with?

I heard Caricaos is changing to a different theme. I heard Tiana's and I also heard another princess.

That makes me so sad. I LOVED Carioca's and I'm least looking forward to Tiana's - I don't like that style of food, and I really don't like supper clubs.

I know that the buffet section in Cariocas is getting removed. The head server who mentioned that wouldn’t say anything else concerning a change to the theme.

When you enter, on the left, there are buffet stations. During dinner, they are hidden behind large drapes. They used to do an embarkation buffet there but they switched to a sit-down embarkation lunch last spring.

Not sure if 2 weeks is enough time to do a complete restaurant change - might need some extra pixie dust. The sad thing about Cariocas was that the menu items that made it unique and interesting were fairly quickly removed from the menu. There were many things that I had been excited to try and by the time we were on the Magic the following yerar, they were gone. :( I actually really like the restaurant design and decor and I love Tiana's, so either way I guess it will be a win.

I am on the 2/18 sailing and will keep an eye out for any prep work they might be doing.

We already have AP on all the Ships. I would prefer they keep the other 2 MDR as ship specific. Why would we want the same exact thing on all 4 ships?

Or Mickey's detective agency!

We thought MDA was cute, not a dealbreaker if it's not on the ship, but a fun thing to try. Plus, with the Magic's longer itineraries it would be a great addition entertainment-wise.

Stupid question but why would DCL remove a restaurant they just put in 3 years ago? Logically, it hasnt paid for itself yet.

Gotta say...even though I'm not really into Marvel, reading this rumor, I'm getting to be pretty inclined to switch my Feb Wonder cruise to the 5-night Magic out of Miami. I loved Carioca's, and the thought of it going away makes me sad. Especially if it's going to be a stupid supper club thing too. :(

Yeah...scratch that. The combination of Presidents' Weekend and the start of the South Beach International Food and Wine Festival have rates ridiculously high for pre-stay hotels. :(

I don't get the appeal of Carioca's. I try to like it but I don't really care for the food and the whole fun thing with napkins on heads, both cruises we missed out on that. On our 2016 cruise we saw others' servers do it but our servers must have sucked because they never got around to do it.... and on the NYC cruise I saw no one do the napkins thing.... and the buffet does appear to be taking up real estate, the curtain of Brazil is pretty but it would seem there could be a better use of real estate by taking out the buffet. I don't need a Tiana's but it would be nice if it could be a theme stronger than Carioca's, right now for us it's just meh.

Too bad. If you were looking at the cruise I think you were it would have been the one I am on.:(

I loved the menu. Especially as someone gluten-free who doesn't eat fish or duck, it is by far the best for options. They didn't get to all the tables our night because of a zillion birthdays, but that didn't dampen the night for us. We still had fun.

The 2/18? I may still...my dad is gifting me some of his Hilton points and I was going to use them in Orlando but might could use them in Miami.
