Magic Dry Dock 2015

sorry, forgot to add the changes to the Spa's female washroom space (I'm sure they upgraded the male space but cannot confirm). The sauna was renovated, and shower space changed, from 3 showers to 2 showers, accommodating handicapped passengers. The showers had problems with drainage and other issues during half of the cruise duration. I don't like the new showers' appearance, looking too institutionalized compared to the way it looked before with a private area to dry off, without the lovely wood flooring for wet feet, etc. The walls in the relaxation area are plain and not as pretty. The washrooms themselves are changed, and very different, one for handicapped passengers. I find the location of the sink to be too close to the door's opening of the 2nd washroom. The mirrors and sinks are lovely. The gym has the same equipment as previously. Hopefully the gym's equipment will be kept up to date as the years pass.

Did they add on demand movies to the Magic? We were recently on the Dream and loved this feature, and we have a cruise booked on the Magic for next summer, so I was hoping they had added the on demand system to the Magic as well during the dry dock.

No on demand movies :(

Not sure if this gallery has been posted or not already, but here are some pics of the Magic post-dry dock: http://www.interiorsidea.it/portfolio/dry-dock-disney-magic-cadiz-2015/

The Edge does look really small I hope my son isn't too disappointed in the new space.

And where are all the computers? What is that new space where they were supposed to be for?

And the space with the portholes and all the tables and chairs? I assume it is on deck 1 (because of the portholes) but what is it for?

I was thinking the SAME THING!!! Can someone confirm if there are gaming stations, and how many? My son is going to be disappointed as well!!

I guess it is a crew area.

Ok, that makes sense.

DS 11 loved the edge last year, but it has to be half the size now, right? The only positive I can think of is it will be easier (or closer at least) for them to do group activities on the outside decks. I would love to get a report back from a recent tween parent Magic cruiser about their take on the new edge.

When is the new Tangled show going to start on the Magic?

Can't see the photos so not sure where you mean but if this is in the Edge itself then there are large virtual portholes in there with tables and chairs in front of this area used for activities within the Edge. When we were on they did an Adult only event that used this area. I don't think there was anything on deck 1 with tables and chairs that was accessible by general public but maybe I was wrong. I will try and check the photos on computer tonight.

November 15th I want to say was the date they quoted on the ship. The scenery was not yet onboard but the cast was

I think it was a crew area as a PP stated. It had the kind of portholes that are found on deck 1 and at least half that deck is crew space.

So will there no longer be computers to use on board? From the pix, it looks like they stripped the computers and just left a big seating area with benches?

Wonder how they managed to get that photo then :D Great spot.

Yes there are now no computers onboard. I guess they weren't used enough. The area they left is a soft play area for little ones so their families can enjoy Promanade Lounge and they can run around in there (or that's the idea). There is still a computer desk which is manned for help with internet queries the other side of this space opened up on to the corridor (does that make sense?)
