Magic Double-dip "SCOOP AWAY THE POUNDS"

:grouphug: Michelle :grouphug: Sending you and Angelina lots of pixie dust! :wizard:

Carolyn, that is one ADORABLE dress! Thats why I love formal night! I get to see all the little ones in their fancies.

I have started, finally, my exercize again. Did 2 miles on the treadmill Monday and Wednesday and 7 miles on the exercize bike today. I'm going to make this a habit if it kills me (and it felt like it might kill me a few times this week :teeth: )

Tread mill now that is a good idea. I know where I can get one. I have no idea why I didn't think of that earlier. I got on the scale this morning and I guess the cheese cake is in the past still on my way down. Man I want a coke. not a diet on a coke zero a full flavored loaded with sugar coke. I think I might have a problem. I have been walking my butt off. HAHAHAHA. Not today though I have a lot of polishing to do. I had some thing on my pants the other day and it ended up on the exhaust of the Bike. I wonder how many cal. I'll burn doing that? I do it by hand. I twisted the handle of the buffer.
What really stinks is I can't eat anything at the Spencer Fair tonight. I love the fair food. Grease, greaseand grease, oh don't forget the salt. lots of that.

Hope this works...Jackie can attest to my limited linking abilities! Michelle, this is the dress for sissy. It fits really long on her and it's a 6. And, there is that fun floofy (word?) lining to make spinning particularly appealing for her.

And, good luck with the nephrologist...can not even imagine the stress..

that Dress might be exactly what we were looking for for the girls.
I never though of looking on Ebay for the dresses for the vow renewal. I wonder if there is a dress for my DW on ther eI'll have to look when I am at home.

Oh fair food is leathal!

A word of advice.....don't have ham for dinner and expect the scale to be down the next morning (I can't get my ring on either). Off to hydrate and will weigh in tomorrow ;)

Devin...the seller's name on ebay is butterflyxc. There are TONS of dresses on there. I looked mostly at the heading of summer dresses. (Drink tons of water before the fair...Last year at the San Diego County Fair, they had fried Twinkies! Guess they can fry anything, huh?)

Linda...Dee...you guys holding your own in the storm??

Michelle....let us know how Angelina's appointment went.

Jackie...hang in there...water, water, water...

Carolyn

Glad to see everyone is planning and buying for the trip! Awesome... I'm so proud of all of you for making good food choices and exercising, :wizard: you rock people!!! (Notice I'm not saying anything about my own situation?) Keep your fingers crossed....:thumbsup2

Devin
You really sound like you are having great will power!! It is really hard to not indulge in fried fair food. We use to go to this huge county fair in NY and I would diet for weeks (I was skinny then) before we would go so I could completely over do it. The next day I would always be sorry. Since we live in Fla I have no interest in fairs anymore. Funny right.
Carolyn
LOVE the dress. Soooo beautiful. Really amazing for the price, right?
For everyone sending hugs and good wishes thank so much. Today was a tuff one. I was very thankful that this Dr really seems to give a hoot, but she really has me worried. She did a fully exam and has some concerns about things unrelated to her kidneys. Angelina was born with a large sacril dimple(sp?) above her buttocks. Last year she started to retain fuild above it and long story short she making an appointment to have an MRI done of her lumbar spine. Being an awsome Dr she is having her blood work and urine cath'd whle she is under sedation for the MRI. She is really concerned with Angies swelling (today it wasn't even bad) She was appalled that her ped had not taken it serious. It will most likely take about 3 weeks to get an appointment and another couple for the results of all her test. I really HATE the waiting!!I feel very thankful that this Dr actually listened and didn't dissmiss things because Angelina is disabled. This all really sucks for weight lose. I lose my appetite but the lack of sleep really messes with me . So I don't eat but still dont lose. A real no win situation for me. Thank God for OCD. If I didn't have this cruise planning I would really go crazy. Thanks for listening.

Michelle..I am so glad you finally found someone who listened. You and your family will be in my thoughts over the next few weeks.

What county fair did you used to go to in NY?

Jackie hang in there it will come off.

Well I am off to dinner.

I just had to share this great dessert. Who likes DQ blizzards, better yet DQ butterfinger blizzard...me me me :thumbsup2

Well I made a ww substitute. Wendy's has a junior vanilla frosty and whitman's make a peanutbutter crunch for ww. I crushed 4 (a serving) crunch bars and added it to the frosty. Yummy and only 6 pts. I could not be happier right now.

Have a great night

Ohhhhhh, so how many points is the junior vanilla frosty on its own? Sounds like a good option. And just for kicks......how many points is the CHOCOLATE one?

Still 9 lbs from my sept 30 goal. I think I have the limit of what I can do with out really getting some more serious exercise. I stayed away from the fair food. (that was tough) I love those darn French fries with a TON of salt and vinegar. Fired dough (Indian fry bread at the Arizona State fair) with honey and powered sugar. I did have a sausage with peppers and onions. I only had one.
As much as I hate running I think I am going to start today.
:sad2: I really can't stand running. I did cross country and track in high school. For some reason in the Army I really began to dislike it. Probably because we ran to slow I have one speed sprint, 2 miles, 10 miles all the same speed.

I used to make fried bread, but now the calories just scared me away from the frying pan! :teeth:

Well, my official total so far is 6lbs! Wow, who would have thought it would take this long to lose so little. :confused3 But, I will just keep at it, and maybe a few more will go with it before cruise time.

Good for you both Wendy and Devin. Keep up the good work.

Jackie...3pts for the junior frosty.

Change the word "Serious" to 'ANY'.....and that's my status MUST START MOVING!

Dee, thanks for the Frosty points...a good fallback when the cold/creamy/sweet attack comes ::yes::

Yeah, Devin and Wendy!!!!

Michelle...so glad you found a caring, conscientious doctor!

Does anyone have an entry for the Workout of the Week award? (I sure don't, but I don't want Devin's award to go un-awarded!)

It's hot. Didn't want to make the spaghetti I'd planned, so DH made a fruit salad (really, a perfect food in my book). Milestone in my little life: was so full from FRUIT SALAD (didn't think that was physically possible), that the ice cream at Baskin Robbins didn't even appeal to me! Now, if I can just trick my brain into forgetting the Gold Medal Ribbon DH didn't finish that's in the freezer. (Kids were kind and sucked up every last drop of their Oreo Cookie milkshakes!) Wishing myself luck...

Oh, and got sissy and DH's boas today! Now, DS wants something DIS green to wear, too.

Carolyn

Not pushing this week rain for the first part of the week and I am not pushing the trusty van.
Ok my will power ran out. We went to play cards and meet for a post planning, planning session, and I had 2 margitas, kielbasa with bbq sauce, a cheese burger, a chilly dog, two brownie pieces, and side of macaroni salad. Not as bad as the cheese cake incident but I was doing so good.
We will see is I am still 209 tomorrow morning.

Isn't is a bummer that one night can wreck a week's worth of good behaviour? (At least on the scale). I keep struggling with the same two pounds and I know my issue right now is PORTIONS and not exercising. But I AM eating healthier foods...so the internal system is getting better nutrition...just still too much of it ;)

Let's all STAY STRONG for the rest of the long weekend.

O&D/RTD

Well Unfortunately someone must have used the same spoon for the mushrooms and the peppers and onions. I am VERY VERY VERY allergic to mushrooms I have an eppy pen that I carry (2 actually just in case) I started to swell last night didn’t think much of it took my ring off with out even thinking about about 10:00. Till this morning. Well let’s just say I lost three lbs between last night and this morning. I am feeling better now but I am really hungry. I took Benadryl at about 8 this morning when I realized why I felt the way I did. I thought I was hung over than I thought I only had 2! I shouldn’t feel THIS bad. I didn’t use my pen though. But I just got off the scale and it was down 3 lbs. Not a good way to diet I’ll tell you that.

There's a line in "The Devil Wears Prada" where one of the girls says she's just one good case of the flu away from her ideal weight. Nope not a good way to diet.

Hope you are feeling better right away....make sure DCL knows about your alergy (oh, wait, planning god has surely already handled this) ;)

Oh, I have nothing to submit for exercise of the week award...well, I did take the stairs once or twice at work :rotfl:

:grouphug: Devin :grouphug: Hope you are feeling better now.

Jackie, I am down a total of 3 pounds, but the scale is not budging right now. I did my exercize bike during the storm (it didn't need electricity, and it helped ward off some of the storm stress :) ) and did 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday, plus all the debris pick-up. (OW!) I'm taking the day off from exercize today, I am very tired. Hopefully I will see the scale move downward next week.
