Magic Double-dip "SCOOP AWAY THE POUNDS"

Thanks, Michelle...I know you'll be adding to Bubba soon!

We don't all love cheesecake...Devin must have my cheesecake loving genes. DH loves it, too. Poor deprived man. I've never even tried to make it. I'll have to send him to Peggy's, too! A Cheesecake Meet in Phoenix...

Carolyn

Cheesecake?!!! Did someone say CHEESECAKE??? Just tell me where to go, I am there.

I'm down another 2 pounds. I have been eating a lot less good stuff (muffins, cookies, etc...all the stuff I love...) and more protein. Started walking again, well doing the Walk Away the Pounds tapes. Too hot and humid around here to walk outside. I can do that in another month, as long as I cover myself in OFF to keep the skeeters away.

O&D

Good job Linda! :cheer2:

I just noticed I don't have you listed on page one! Let me know what your total is, so we can add that to BUBBA!
I have the Walk Away the Pounds tapes also and will be using them till our mornings get a bit cooler....which could still take a while out here in the desert :sunny:

I am up for the cheescale meet as well.

Congrats Linda!!!!!!

Linda please give you total to date. You are an inspiration. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, Linda!!!!!! (Protein is my friend....)

Took the kids bowling today. That's just a funny thing to watch. Tried the 6 pound balls with the rails up, too. Much better for their egos. Ok, and mine. NOT a seasoned bowler here. Last time, I fell on my aft on the first frame! Anyhow, then we went off to the beach for a couple hours. It was really nice...water was a little cool. Kept trying to picture how different Castaway Cay will be. Funny to live in Southern California and be dreaming of another paradise...

Hope everyone's had a good weekend...Jackie, did Peggy make it home ok??

Carolyn

Peggy is home, safe and sound and has some GREAT photos ::yes:: I think we need to get her signed up for photobucket or imagestation or one of those guys so she can start posting pictures.

Hey.....I ACTUALLY went grocery shopping and got stuff for lunches/salads/grilling stuff/breakfasts. Could not find any SF yogurt however...will have to hit a different store on the way home tomorrow. Also there were NO strawberries at my Frys....wassup with that?

Time for Sunday night veg out.......later kids!

Way too go LINDA!!!!!! :cool1:
Jackie
Funny you should say food shopping. I sent Vito Sr and Jr food shopping while I was at work last night. BIG MISTAKE!!! They left it all out for me to put away and all they bought is JUNK. Except for bananas.

Exelent job
I don't even whant to get on the scale. I was down about 15 lbs in the last two months. I have been working really hard and I have 0 self control , my DW has really been helping. Now i can't even use the old stand by musscle weights more that fat. I haven't worked out in two weeks (no time).

Carolyn
I finally had sometime to search E-bay for the little girl dresses. There is a seller called butterflyxc. She has amazing dresses that range from 19.99-35. .I do not know if they are to dressey, but I love them.I have never ordered one but they look beautiful in the pictures. I could not buy the fabic for that price. I am going to order one for Angelina.Hope this helps.

Happy Monday everyone! Well it's a new week and I'll be doing some damage control this week. I believe I ate out nearly every meal (lunch/dinner) last week and paid the price on the scale this AM. I know I can recover quickly as long as I take action NOW! Thank goodness there are the proper supplies at hand! I'm really craving veggies...don't think I had ANY last week except salads....I want a big old pile of brocolli ::yes::

Hang in there Devin....remember it's just one day at a time. Try to steal a few minutes for exercise, even if you can't find the time for a full blown 'work out' (crank up the radio and dance your DW around the living room!).

Onward & Downward Everyone!

Well, of course it's quite....Peg is out of town! :lmao: :lmao:

Something unbelievable happened on the scale this morning...based on recent eating I hesitate to say.....so I'm holding out for another day or two to see if it's 'true'. OK, not that big of a deal, down another pound, but I want to make sure it's 'set' before I claim it!

I'd argue - but you know she's right!

I am inviting everyone to Phoenix for Cheesecake! Nothing better than making it for people who love it! :thumbsup2

I'm back and will weigh in tomorrow to see the damage. I think sadly that I will have to adjust my "9" pounds lost - to.... 3? Yep, I 'm sure I've gained weight back on and am now starting from scratch. Ya think I have issues? ;)

I did good today - and am picking up a rot. chicken on the way home.

Ok does anyone know why my dog is eating rocks? Hope threw up a belly full of rocks last night. What is UP with that?

Ok, time to head out of work it's after 6 p.m. and I'll chat with y'all tomorrow.

CONGRATS YOU ALL YOU BIG LOSERS!!!! You make me proud!

Peg
Welcome home!!Sounds like you had a fantastic trip with alot of out door time. Maybe your weight wont be as bad has you think.I am also in the time to get very serious mode. Right now I can not fit into anything I wore last cruise (had gained 20 lbs after surgry) and have to loose at least another 10. Very very frustrating.
I found a yummy little bagel at the store last week. It is made by a company called Western Bagel. This is the Alternative bagel .110 calories , 7 grams fiber no fat. I have had the roasted onion and let me tell you YUMMY!!!Toasted up and very satisfying Not a NY bagel but still really good. Vito Jr thinks they taste great but are small. I think really worth the 110 calories!!

Before you read my adventure you must understand that am pretty much the Mr. Goodwrench of my Family, not only am I called to fix everything from a broke sewer pipe to Cars lawn mowers, bicycles, you name it I fix it. I PREACH PRENVENTAVE MATIANCE!!!!!!!!!!!! “Don’t wait till it breaks I don’t want to have to come get you or worse fix it on the street or in a parking lot.” I say that lot. Now with that in mind. Enjoy and have a laugh. :rotfl2: :lmao:
I GOT MY WORK OUT TODAY I guess my nephew rode or rest the odometer on the Intruder (a motor cycle) and well I ran out of gas this morning. (Yes I know I should have taken 2 seconds and looked in the tank before I left work):moped: I guess the reserve doesn’t work or the little tube came loose or something. I am a bout a mile from a gas station and I am rolling along at a good clip, its 5:30 in the morning on cars on the road. So I say well I am going to go for it now (instead of calling my DW, she was sick the night before and well to be honest to have to listen to her for the rest of my life that I ran out of gas just is not worth it. I like to run as far as I can before filling the tank on the Van she hates that.) OK now for the funny part I have to get to the intersection on the far left of the map and I am starting from just out side the view on the right (Map) and get across the street and go the other way about 1/4 a mile back to the gas station, and it is really hilly mostly down hill than a slight up than flat at the light. So I run out of momentum about even with the gas station. I push the bike in to the shopping plaza and go around (rt9 is one of the most dangerous rods in central MA) I don’t want to be walking pushing a 600lbs motorcycle. I go all the way through the plaza and back to rt9 at Lake Street. Than push the walk button and cross in the cross walk and push it down to the gas station. Get my $9,45 worth of gas and go to start the beast. Now Remember It is really humid and I am wearing a fleece and a wind breaker. Sweat is rolling off of me I have drenched my shirt. I am ready to throw the visor up and cruise home with my coat open jump in the pool when I get there. I hit the button expecting the familiar rumble of 1400ccs of Japanese V twin power. :goodvibes You guessed it nothing :confused3 while I was pushing it up to the plaza and rolling down the hill I left the key on I wanted lights so I would not get run over. Apparently the Battery is going bad, well now it all the way bad. There is no way in my weakened condition I can push this thing fast enough with dry carburetors to get it running :faint: , and by now its getting up around 7:00 and traffic is picking. I don’t dare try the street. But alas there is Home Depot Right next door, so now full of gas I start to push again around the parking lot and in to the Depot. I spent every summer on a farm and my farther IS the real MacGyver, I walk around looking for some inspiration, and I find it a riding lawn mower battery. And an extension cord. And off I go. Now I know it is wrong to buy something use it and return it but this is an emergency. :rolleyes1 I HAVE NEVER done it before, again it’s an emergency. (Back to the first line of this tale) I go out and look for my trusty Swiss army knife, AAAAAHHHHHGGGGAAAA :furious: I left it sitting on my dresser at home. Fist time I have done that in a long time. So I make do by ripping the end of the extension cord off (out of shear frustration) and making my MacGyver jumper cables. Hook it all up and try the good old starter button again. Vroom away we go :moped: :woohoo: . I pack the battery in my bag and head home 3 hours after leaving work. I can not admit defeat. Were there people I could call sure. My farther en-law he could have come and got me even brought a set of real jumper cables. But he is as bad as I am about letting people forget things I would have never heard the end of it.
Work out for today pushing 600lbs about a mile most of which I was still wearing my full face helmet. I think that is good for at least 7 pieces of cheese cake?!?!?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Say it with me girls, "MEN" :sad2:

You win the prize for best work-out of the week....that's for sure! And a whole cheesecake for providing a great belly laugh at 6:30 in the morning! I think we'll be calling you MacGyver from now on too.

I actually ate some fruit and veggies yesterday....YEAH ME!

Welcome Back, Peg! We missed you!!

Michelle...bagel sounds so good. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, Devin...thanks for the laugh this morning! Although I'm amused that you just wouldn't CALL someone to help you (isn't that what AAA is for???), I'm even more impressed that you could actually think clearly in humidity AND then actually figure something out (Ok...I didn't get any of it!) that worked! We'll make sure to mention you to the captain, just in case they run into any mechanical difficulties on our cruise.

I agree with Jackie, you win the Workout of the Week Award!

Carolyn

OK Devon or should I say MacGyver   :lmao: I was thinking about the visa commercial with Macgyver in it and think you last sentence should be
Keeping it a secret from the family PRICELESS!!!!
You definetly win work out of the month. Have a better day :sunny:

I called AAA they do not do anything for Motorcycles, I called first for just gas, they wouldn't even do that. I should have just told them I was in my van and rolled the dice.

Say it with me girls, "MEN"

My DW would AGREE with that I refuse to turn around if we are lost , I will ask for direction though, but only from a police or Fire station.
IT was deffantly not funny at all till I was well on my way than I laughed all the way home, Ok it was a little funny in the depot when I asked if I could return the battery if it didn't work in my "lawn Mower" :thumbsup2
I am a terrable lier not even little white lies. I can not look someone in the eye. I know I am doing it but I can't help it.
And my leggs are really sore this afternoon. But I do not feel any guilt about the Cheese Cake any more!
Ah alls well the ends well I guess.
