Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - ***UPDATED - post #411 ***

Thank You everyone.. :grouphug: We really do appreciate everything.

We take things day by day and DH & I talk alot now. We know we will never be OK with what happen nor will we ever not think about or miss our son. But, we know life has to still go on so we take it a day at a time.

Dear Stacy,

I am pretty new to this board so I haven't gotten to know you like the others here have, but I want to say that I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your son. My heart just sank when I read your post. I cannot imagine the pain and sadness you and your husband must be feeling now. I hope you have answers soon regarding what happened to him. Again, I am so sorry...

Hi guys, don't know what made me look at this thread - just wanted to see how you all were doing I guess (I still regret cancelling even though I made the right choice:rolleyes:)

Anyway, Stacey I just wanted to pass on my condolences to you and Andy, I'm so very sorry to hear of your news, and I know no words will be good enough:sad2: - but just wanted to say that my thoughts are with you both. Take care of each other. xxx

Stacy,

We are sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts will be with you.

Stacy - I am very sorry for you loss. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Well my son and his family have officially bailed on the cruise so our fantasy of enjoying the beautiful granddaughters for 10 days is ended. We are still going however and will have a good time nonetheless.

I am so sorry to hear this! But it's going to be a great trip and I am sure you will enjoy it! We are still trying to decide whether to book or not. It's a good bit more than we normally spend on vacation and we always save for our trips to pay them off before we go...this one might be a bit of a challenge in doing that! We shall see...

Holy Cow!!!

This is gonna be the mecha of Christmas Cruises...

We haven't offically booked yet, but this will be our 4th Christmas Cruise in a row. Since we have did the Western the past 2, we figure we would try the 11 day.. :thumbsup2

Nothing like booking a year and a half out and paying a $1,000 bucks a month... :scared1::sick::scared1:

Oh well... We are Disney Junkies... pirate:

I hear ya! I keep going back and forth between sending $3000 to TA each time it is saved or holding it all for interest and sending it at one time. My DH said I am not allowed to cancel so I better start saving.

Hey! How did you like the Western cruise at Christmas? We are trying to decide between this cruise and the 7 day Western on the Wonder. We just did the Eastern itinerary in April and loved it. DH and I have been to all the Western ports and DD has been to Grand Cayman on a land based trip, but just wondering about fun things to do in Key West and Cozumel for young kids. I don't remember Key West being particularly kid-friendly and Cozumel didn't impress me too much but maybe I am missing something...

Hey! How did you like the Western cruise at Christmas?

1) The DCL Christmas cruise is something Mrs. hfc1969 and I started about 4 years ago. WE LOVE IT. NO typical commercial holiday BS to deal with. We take our son and make the best Christmas memories ever. :cool1:

2) It did upset :headache: a few of the family members because we weren't around for the ham & tators Christmas Day.. But, all are used to it now. We just visit with them the weekend before.

3) We love the Western... However last year was espically cool... it double dipped CC . The Wonder in 2010 is not going to. Key West is cool, but its more for adults and drinking :cool2:. Which is ok to, just keep that in mind.

4) Always remember,, your on the best ships in the world.. You can't go wrong.. :thumbsup2

What has me excited about this one is all of the different ports that are not part of regular itineraries.

Hi Everyone,
Just booked our second Christmas cruise. We did one this past Christmas and it was "magic"al!
Hi HFC1969 we were on the same cruise. Did you participate in any of the Dis activities? We did quite a few.
Joe, Tenya and DD Carly, age 17 at the time of the cruise.

Happy Fourth everyone! We are headed up the street to a cul-de-sac party tonight.

Wow, I just finished reading this thread. So many comings and goings over the past year! The tragedy of losing a child is unbearable. I can't imagine the pain. My deepest condolences!

Denise, we were on the Christmas cruise with y'all. I organized the Secret Santa and my daughter, Carly, is the one who had the broken foot and walking boot.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone. I've never booked a trip this far out.
Tenya
