Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Anyone know? Wonder if I'll have the opportunity to upgrade at the port?

Trying to upload images to share some photos from our past Disney cruises...5 and 6 years ago. DD was a pre-schooler. Wow.

Speaking of luggage and transfers.. :goodvibes

I'm afraid our magic from last cruise will never be replicated: Flannery was asked to be in the Snow White section of the show (not Disney Dreams, can't even remember the name now!), a cast member left in our statement bucket hats for both girls signed by all characters; she was in love with Peter Pan at the time and he noticed her and remembered her at every turn; and then the last night we got a "by invitation only" meet and greet with all the characters in Studio Sea (I think, whichever the place is above the atrium). Very few people invited and we had all cast members and members of the shows all to ourselves. It was beyond magical. Here's a picture from that with Pinocchio.

...and just because I think he has such mad skillz, this is what my hottie German carpenter husband built for the girls. Designed and built completely by him. Cedar, all bent by his invention, and completely handmade. We put it in a Christmas parade.

Peter Pan gave her pixie dust the last night, too. She was sooo excited. And we still have it!! Here she is showing it to Goofy. I'm afraid she only had eyes for ole Peter, that's all she talked about to the other characters. (And the cast member that played him was precious--so very, very good to her. I wrote a letter to DCL management when we got home praising him)

Last one! thanks for indulging me!! Such great memories...
and here is The Man himself. I'm really going to miss this this go around. They were 3 & 5 then - 7 & 9 now -- and not as "into" the characters. She completely believed Peter Pan was real and that pixie dust would make her fly. It was joyous to see. Hope there is magic in other ways this go around. :)

What a gorgeous family!!! Sounds wonderful. My 4 yo was convinced Minnie was her best friend. It's such magic at that age, when the characters are real rather than people dressed up as characters.

I'm certain there will be different but equally special memories from this cruise! We will make it so....

I apologize if this has been discussed already...I can never seem to find time to get on here and read. I've been thinking about my FE gifts lately and I have a question. Since we will be cruising over Christmas, I am thinking of making my FE gifts Christmas-related. I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas. Would you (or do you think anyone would) be offended by an FE gift that is related to Christmas?

Thanks for the advice. I need to get busy!

Great pictures Mike and Melanie!

Wish I could get my crew to go all out on Pirate Night. The best I can usually do is matching shirts and maybe a bandana. Oh well, at least we are there and having fun!

You're precious for even thinking of me. I, too, have a 4-seater Honda--an Element!

Someone on the US transportation thread thinks between $75-100 roundtrip for a taxi. But then I was told the park closes at 7. Plane gets in at 11, ME to Pop will mean 12:30ish then check in, get cab, get to US. We're talking maybe 2:00 pm. So now I have the rethink the practicality of 5 hours and $348. My DD9 will be heartbroken if we don't, tho, and to compare it to having to make another trip down to do it sometime and, well, there is no cost comparison so it's down to a time thing.

I second the idea of renting a car. And, in order to maximize time at HP, I would pick the car up at the airport and drive straight to HP from there and then check in later that evening at the POP. Use whatever rental car company allows you to drop off on Disney property.

My boys were asked to be "scroll bearer's" on our last Wonder cruise in 2008. They were on stage with Mickey & Minnie. Afterward,Joey whispered to me "I think Minnie Mouse likes me, she gave me a kiss!" He was 9, and I love that he still thought of her as "real"!:lovestruc

Wow! This is so beautiful!!! My husband is pretty handy, but that is in a class of its own! My daughter would love it.

My little one was quite taken with Peter Pan on our recent weekend cruise on the Wonder. I loved all of your pictures. Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

We just booked this cruise today! We are me, dh, dd 17, ds16, ds15. Will be in 2 rooms. We are from Fort Worth, TX. Anyone else from this area going? Would love to meet beforehand.:dance3:

Welcome! I think there are several from TX on our thread, but I know it's a BIG state. We have a great group here excited to celebrate the holidays!
