Sorry I can't help you as I'm not a member. I have been there as I was invited by a former member several years ago and had a GREAT time. We went to the Houdini Seance for Halloween.

We went to the Magic Castle Club last year because we were staying at the Magic Castle Hotel. We had a great time! Aside from staying at the hotel, I believe that the only other way is getting a member invite. I would love to go again.

That's correct. I went last August with two members - we went for dinner and the shows. I would highly recommend it. FYI you need to dress up to go.

Well, that's the thing. We would love to go, but how do you recommend finding any members to get invited???
Also my brother thinks that reservations have to made months in advance, but I am going to LA the first week of August!

Members are mostly magicians or magicians in training. If you know any, then you'll be one step closer to finding a member.

The Magic Castle was one of the most memorable evenings we had on our trip a few years ago. If you don't want to stay at the Magic Castle Hotel, I believe the Hollywood Celebrity offers the same opportunity to go to the Magic Castle and their room rates are much cheaper.

When we went, we actually had an opportunity to talk with the owner. He said that if we wanted to come back, to call the Magic Castle (or e-mail them) and tell them you are interested in perhaps becoming a member, and they can arrange for you to get guest passes.

As far as how far ahead you need to book, I don't think it's much of a problem on weekdays, but weekends might be a little trickier.

Thanks, Barabarabee, that's some info I can actually use. (For next time, as I'm back from my LA trip now.)

We would not need to stay in a hotel as my brother lives in LA, so those tips did not apply to me, and neither did someone else knowing a member, unless they were offering to introduce us!
