Hi, I have been told we can't order bands unless I use a VPN, is that right? We would only want the plain ones but find them eay. Do they still do them and if so, does anyone know how much to pre order?

I don't know what a VPN is...sorry. Who told you that you can't order MBs? Have you tried to order on the website, or on ShopDisney?

Don't use a VPN. I was on the VPN because it shows more resort availabilities. Then I went to order my MB and without removing the VPN and it messed up the order. It is suspended. I spent 2 hours on the phone and it can not be fixed. If you are outside the US and Canada, just buy when you get there.

To address the cost question, the "Special Pre-Arrival" basic color price is $10.00.

Side note, MB availability tends to bounce around a lot, but sure is rather slim pickins' when I checked just now.

Yeah, I was seeing the same thing. I’ve been checking MB choices for the past few weeks for a mid-March trip and they have continued to dwindle. When I started checking, there were over 30 options, now only 17. I keep thinking they will add some choices, but am beginning to wonder if there is something else going on.

Well, MagicBand+ is supposed to debut some time in 2022, so that may have something to do with it. Or supply chain woes like a lot of things, but who knows I guess!

When I checked a few days ago, the only $10 bands available were lavender and raspberry. Then next day, just raspberry! I just asked in a different thread if there was somewhere else I should be looking. I thought it was so strange! After reading through this thread though I see it's not just me! Thanks for the info -

Right! I'm on the hunt for a plain blue, just the basic one. It WAS there a bit ago, but of course gone when I'm ready to order it. Sigh.....

Much like all merchandise these days, if you see something you want, buy it when you see it. Odds are it won't last long enough to think on it.

Hm. I hadn't realized! Also, last night I realized that my cousin, 17 years old, probably wouldn't be into any of the available bands - no matter the cost. I'm taking him to WDW for a special one- or two-night trip (he doesn't like rides, and I decided it's time to show him he can have fun at WDW even without rides!) so I feel a little responsible for providing a band that he doesn't feel uncomfortable wearing. I know he doesn't have to wear one - I believe he or I could use a phone to access everything necessary - but I know the concept of MagicBands will impress him (as it does me) so I'm going to continue to keep an eye on the choices...and this time, like Mrs.AMC said, I'm going to buy on the spot!!!
