Magic Bands

We are Canadian so our Magic Bands are going to be at our hotel when we arrive. Do I need to do something to activate them or does that happen when we check in? Thanks

Do you have an account set up with My Disney Experience? If you do and you've customized the bands then you're all set.

Yes you are good to go, your Magic bands will be waiting for you at your hôtel. Have a magical trip

And just to add... when they bring out the box..... it is soooooooooooo cool! I was a excited as DD to see them! Very neat to see them personalized!

How do you customize the bands?I have an account,with my tickets and reservations,buti don't see where it says to customize them.

Go to MDE. Click on Magic Bands and Cards, click on the right arrow. I think at this point it prompts you for your shipping address etc. Enter the resort address otherwise you get an error. Once this is done it should allow you to customize your magic bands. You get to pick the colour and name you want on the inside of each band. Once you're done go back in to your profile and change your address back to your home address. I waited a few days. Your Magic Bands will be shipped to your hotel.

If this doesn't work, use the search function. I found out how to do it here on DIS. I just don't know how to link other posts.

I'm on my 3rd & 4th set of MBs this upcoming trip. I have only ever used my home address and never have run into issues... Until - this trip! Lol. The problem wasn't that I'm from Canada... It was because my TA (first time using) entered my postal code without the space like an American zip code. I called Disney to ask why all of a sudden this trip I couldn't use my home address as always. They transferred me to IT. within minutes they'd figured out the problem... On my account my postal code is listed with the space, the system didn't recognize what my TA entered as being part of my account. It was fixed within minutes & I was able to log back on and customize my MBs without problem. My account now shows them done, and has the notation "MBs will be waiting for you at check in".

Thanks All,it was the postal code.In one section the postal code was without a space and the other with.It wouldn't let me confirm until I matched the two.After it was done I was able to customize the bands.Thanks again!

Good to know this works. I tried every possible combination of my postal code and I couldn't get it to work. Finally I read another thread that talked about temporarily changing your shipping address to the Resort one and that was the only way I could get it to work. (I kept getting some dumb error message and then it just locked my out)

Will have to try again next trip.
