Magic Bands with Multiple Tix Question

Is there any way within MDE to "prioritize" ticket usage for multiple tickets linked to a band, versus the hassle of going to Guest Services prior to entering a park to have them establish it?

My spouse and I each have 5 days left on non-expiring tickets; our kids have 1 day left on non-expiring tickets.
We need 6 park days. So my plan was to purchase 5-day tix for the kids and have that ticket and their 1-day ticket both linked to their bands, but because 1-day tix are ridiculously priced, I was going to just buy 5-day tix for all of us. DH and I would use one of the days from our existing non-expiring ticket.

I just want to be sure that when ticket days are used - they use up the 5 newer, "short-lifespan" tickets FIRST for my DH and me, and THEN access the non-expiring ticket for the last day - NOT the other way around.

My understanding was that Guest Services could prioritize them... I would like confirmation of that, but please let me know if there's an easier way (at home via computer or phone, lol) to do it!

A bit OT, but, if you are planning on purchasing 5-day tickets for everyone, I would highly suggest simply buying 6-day tickets for everyone and saving your non-expires for another time. Upgrading from a 5 to 6-day ticket is less than $10 per ticket and one day of a non-expire is worth far, far more than that. I would consider saving those non-expires for shorter trips.

To answer your question - yes, you need to stop at guest services to prioritize your tickets and I would highly suggest checking to make sure the correct ticket was pulled after entering your first park.

We have had this issue a few times. I *think* any ticket booth (not just guest services) can prioritize them? At least they were able to tell me which was on tap to be used.

I do usually check sometime once in the park that the correct ticket was used.

This is not really important when it comes to your questions, but FYI, no tickets (or anything) is “on” or directly linked to any MagicBand. All the bands do is pull the information from MDE. That’s why you can use any active band interchangeably for all purposes.

Back to your question — I have called guest services in the past and asked them to prioritize tickets in my account. But I still confirmed at the park before I entered the park, to ensure it was done correctly, so I didn’t have to go through the hassle of fixing it after the fact. I went to the entry Touchpoint and asked if one of the CMs with an iPad could please scan my band before I entered, to check which ticket was prioritized. Only took a minute, and set my mind at ease.
