Magic Bands, When Are They Needed

I'm organizing a family reunion, and I made all the reservations, so all the shipping information is to my address. I'd rather have everything all in one place so I can verify that everything has been sent, and is being brought with us. Currently the magic bands are all slated to be sent to me. Is there any reason that I should have them shipped to everyone's individual address? Would they be absolutely needed to check-in to the resort (say if our flight were to be delayed?). Thanks!

MB are your everything - room key, park entrance and probably way onto the Magical Express (but I'm not sure about that one - we drive).

Are you planning on arriving significantly before everyone else? They will need their bands to get into their resort rooms.
