Magic Bands: Shipped home or to my resort?

Pre-order availability for magic bands has been pretty limited and I was more or less resigned to purchasing them in the park after arrival, where there would hopefully be more of a selection. However, this morning, the one my kid has been waiting for (Chewbacca with Millenium Falcon if you're wondering) appeared and I jumped on it.

I'm 13 days from arrival (9 business days) and the confirmation email says that the bands will be shipped to my home, while the "My Plans" section of My Disney Experience says that I can pick them up at my resort front desk.

Does anyone have any insight as to which it will be? Or who I could call to find out? It would be a very stressful week of stalking our mail carrier if they are indeed going to the resort!

According to the Disney website:
Remember to place your order at least 11 days before your arrival if you would like your MagicBands shipped to your home and at least 6 days before your arrival to have them shipped to your Resort hotel.

My advice is to plan to pick them up at the resort. No need to have a very stressful week of stalking your mail carrier. Just stress over the usual stuff like packing...

If they are shipped, it will say they have been shipped in MDE. So I'd keep an eye on that. Then if you do get a shipping notice then you can stalk the mailbox.

I wish I had waited just a few more days. My son would have loved that magic band! I got him Toy Story but I know he would have preferred Star Wars. One that my other son wanted and one that I wanted were available so I went ahead and ordered, worried that the selection would get even smaller as time went on.

I was waiting for the Stitch one which also became available today, but they are sending it to the resort. My problem is they say they are sending it to Boardwalk Villas but I'm staying at Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani.

If they are shipped, it will say they have been shipped in MDE. So I'd keep an eye on that. Then if you do get a shipping notice then you can stalk the mailbox.

I ordered on 5/28. That was Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. According to tracking, they shipped on 5/31 and are due to arrive on 6/7, a full week later.

So, a full 10 days from placing the order, but the holiday weekend may have affected that.
