Magic Bands.....same room.......different families

We (two different families) will be staying in a Villa this summer. Can charges to magic bands be family specific or are they only room specific? Trying to control who charges what and to what family. Thanks!

I have never done it, but will also be in the same position as you next year. I have read on multiple websites, including the Mom's Panel, that it can be done. You will have to do it in person at check-in and have all your bands present for each account with your credit card. Hopefully someone here can share a first hand experience.

My family did this in September 2018. Everyone went to the front desk with their band and cc they wanted to link to the band. You set up a pin and you’re done!

We do this all the time. We each attach our own credit card to our magic band at the front desk. It doesn't necessarily have to be done right at check-in.

As others have said make sure all magic bands and people are present with the respective credit cards you want on each band.

Thanks for asking! I'm going on a girl's trip and assumed it was one card per room and was trying to figure out how we'd split the bill at the end. It will be much easier for each person to link their band to their own card!

Every time we go and DH sets his credit card up the clerk asks if I'll be using the same CC. DH always jokingly pretends that he's going to say "No" which is when I remind him that I know where he lives and I can sic the cats on him at midnight when he's sleeping. So, yes, everyone can have their own. And if there's someone (i.e., child) you don't want charging, you can just withhold the PIN number.
