Magic Bands questions

We are staying offsite this June, so no MB2 for use - EXCEPT it's so hard to buy for teens that my folks got everyone a MB2 for Christmas. YAY! I was debating on the cost and usefulness (but I really wanted them), and this was a swell way to make everyone happy, plus we got the themed ones instead of the solid colors, bc, you know, grandparents.

I am planning to buy our tickets in January, before the probably price increases in February, so no tickets currently. But I do have the MDE app set up on the phone with all of us on there. Do I add the Magic Bands now, when I get the tickets, or closer to the time we actually go?

We've made several visits to Universal over the last few years, but this is our first Disney trip with MBs at all. So much new stuff to learn...

Go ahead and link the bands now, no reason not to. Just make sure you link the correct band to the correct person. Then when you buy the tickets, link those to the correct people, also. You'll be all set.

It really doesn't matter when you add them.
I'd just go ahead and add them now so its done.

You can add them now, when you get the tickets, or closer to your trip.. It doesn't matter.

The tickets don't go on each individual band. You link everything into My Disney Experience. So I'd go ahead and link each band now, then they'll be ready to use and you won't have to worry about them later
