Magic Bands or Cards

My brother is staying at Saratoga Springs in December through renting DVC points. They purchased 5 day MYW passes. Last week they got hard tickets in the mail...will they still get Magic Bands too? I can go in their account and I see their cards and are able to customize their bands (color), but why would they get hard tickets?

If he ordered the tickets and selected a delivery method other than will call, the actual tickets are mailed out.

As for MagicBands, he will receive them if he goes in and customizes them.

Every time I've booked a trip, I have gotten tickets in addition to my MB. I just bring them along in case my MB doesn't work (which has not happened).

Good to know. For every time that we have gone, we have never received cards and we were just there, 3 times since the introduction of Magic Bands. So it was throwing me for a loop. Just wanted to tell him he will get his magic bands.

Yupp, all he has to do is select the colors, enter some names and the MB ship in advance. Of note he should link the tickets in MDE so that they can book FP+ 60 days out!.

Just have him check MDE and make sure that he sees his Magic Bands are listed there and that they've been customized. I have always booked with a Tavel Agent and about 30 days before she gives me a packet of stuff, and my tickets are always in there.

yes, I did that all for him already, their bands are there and are customized (they have until Nov. 12). Just wanted to make sure because of the physical cards that arrived.
