Magic Bands ?....leaving in 2 days

Everything is linked to your MyDisneyExperience (MDX) profile. This includes your room reservation, admission, FP+ selections, MagicBands, etc. When you scan your MagicBand, it checks your MDX profile looking for the appropriate entitlement.

Log into your MDE account, go to "my magicbands and cards". If you see your magic band there, then it's already linked and you don't have to do anything further.

If you're staying on site and received them from your reservation they're already linked and ready to go.

They are active right out of the box.

The only catch is if you booked your stay with the military armed forces discount (you have to show your military ID at check-in), or if your park passes were purchased via the military armed forces salute tickets (you have to activate those at guest services on your first park day in order to enter).

If you have any doubts about them being activated, you can have them check it out when you check into the hotel (if you're staying on-site). The only problem we had was one of the kid's bands didn't open our room. It was quickly fixed though.

They are active right out of the box.

But, if you bought your ticket as part of a WDW Resort PACKAGE... the tickets will not be active until
check-in date. (Check-in can be done on-line, or in-person.)

Also, WDW Resort PACKAGE tickets can be activated at any WDW Guest Relations up to 3 days prior to your resort check-in date. That activation must be done in-person at a Guest Relations.

Update. ..they were ready to go from the start.i did everything on line and when I got here,they were working. So convenient!!!

We have a multi-family trip in September. One family is using the military salute tickets and are staying off site. The plan as of now is to go to guest relations at DTD to get the tickets activated when we get to Orlando. We won't hit the parks until the next morning. Can they purchase magic bands when they activate the tickets?

Off site guests can use magic bands only to utilize their FP+ entitlements.

Yes, and the CM at the shop will link the MBs to the tickets at the time of purchase. The MBs can be used at the park entrances and the FP lines.
