Can you link a gift card to MB and use it to pay for food & souvies in parks?

This past January when I went you were not able to. Only credit cards are able to be linked.

No, the MB is linked to your hotel room account which must have a credit card assigned in order to have charging privileges. You can, however, use the magic band to charge to the room account and then stop by the front desk to pay down the balance with gift cards. Just make sure you do it before the last night as the credit card will be charged overnight on your last night.

This..they don't actually charge your card until you reach the limit for the type of resort you are at ($500 Value, $1000 Mod, $1500 deluxe). We charged EVERYTHING to the room lol..and just took care of it with gift cards/cash every single evening. Took 5 minutes and was better than waiting until the end for us. SO easy!
