Magic bands from WDW

I think I know the answer but just wanted to make sure. We have a gazillion magic bands from our trips to WDW. We are going to DL in February. Can I use the newest ones (from last summers trip) at DL? I’m thinking no because it is a different app. We are watching a YouTube and it makes me believe that DL has never used even regular magic bands but will be getting magic band + at the end of this month. We do not want the magic band +. We don’t want to pay for them and really don’t care about the vibrating stuff it does. We went to DL about 8 years ago and I remember having a physical card. We don’t mind having a physical card. The vlog just made me wonder if there was anyway for us to use our magic bands at DL.

Only MagicBand+ will work at DLR. Earlier versions of MagicBand will not. If you don't want to buy MagicBand+, you can use the Disneyland app on your phone instead.

Only MB+ will work at DL. I was hoping that at least the MB2 would work, but no. Or as DL is saying "not at this time".

You'll still be able to use the physical card as well as your smartphone to (using our phrase) "beep the scanners".

I'm not buying an MB+ just for DL, but I will be getting one next year for our WDW trip that I'll use during subsequent DL trips. Until then, I'll use the physical card since I hate having to keep getting my phone out because I'm a butterfingers and worry I'll drop it.
