Magic Bands for offsite guests

Hoping for some insight as we love the bands, but are staying at a non-Disney owned resort. What can we do with bands not being on site guests? I know charging is out, and obviously using them as room keys. However, if we purchase them, can we link our park tickets to them for admission as well as our Fastpass selections?

Tickets, Fastpass entry, and Photopass.

And technically, you aren't linking anything specific "to" a MagicBand. You link the band to your MDE profile, and then it accesses all the information in MDE. Bands can't store information.

Also, you can use old MagicBands that are still active in your MDE profile.

If you purchase MagicBands you can definitely use them as your tickets and for your fast passes. You just need to connect them to your MDE account!

My next trip I’m off property, but will be using my band from my last trip as my ticket/for FP.

Would love to see Disney allow you to keep a credit card on file to use the bands for charging. Guess that's a perk reserved for onsite guests.

Guess that's a perk reserved for onsite guests.

It is because the charge goes to the room account not directly to a linked credit card.

They would function as your plastic ticket would.
Enter the parks, Enter FP lines, Photos.

Do you have magic bands from a previous onsite stay?
If so use them instead of buying new unless you want to spend more money on new ones.
