Magic bands for Dec. arrivals?

I was able to start making Fastpass+ selections yesterday (45 days out from my Dec. 1 arrival), but does anyone know when I'll be able to customize and order the Magicbands???

From reports here on the DIS, it seems the option pops up around 30 days out. Once the option shows up, you have 14 days to customize them.

We check-in to SSR on 12/6 and I've already customized our MagicBands. It shouldn't be required, but some people don't get the customize option until they've done (or redone) the on-line check-in process.

We check-in Dec. 12th Magic Bands and Fastpass+ already done.

Dec 15th checkin here and have customized bands already.
Like was said above, sometimes you have to do online checkin before the option shows up.

keep checking in, mines was all card then boom one day I looked and it was MagicBands. Had a Oct.11 deadline had them on 10/14 via UPS for our Nov.10 check in.

I picked colors and names and did 3 fastpasses a day. Is that all I have to do? And if you want a spot for fireworks- does that use one of your 3 fastpasses or is that something different? as well as lunch for BOG- is that something other than the 3 passes as well? Does your hotel and tickets automatically go in there?

Did you do on line check in? After I finished that the option to customize magic bands popped up.

No- I didnt do on-line check-in. I went to the Disney World website and went into my experiences and it was there.

Yes that is all you have to do. Yes, parades and fireworks count as one of your 3. Right now, BOG does not. However, to my knowledge, Dec is not open yet for BOG FP.

I can't do on line check in! I can't get my tickets to link! I can't pick fast passes! I can't personalize our bands!

IT says it will be fixed. I just need to be patient.

Do you have to have a package booked to be able to use the magic bands? We are staying at AoA in January with a room only reservation. Dd4 and I have annual passes which I linked to my account. I haven't got a pass to DH yet...

No. We have room only booked in dec and customized the bands today.

For those who have done online check in, you are within 60 days, and still aren't seeing the "personalize" option for MB, try this.

Go to where it says modify reservation. You don't have to actually change anything, just go through the steps. The option should then pop up to personalize after you do this.

I was at about 56 days, and had made my FP+ selections but could not access the MB option. I did the above and it worked. Others have had the same experience.

Nope. We have APs and are staying at aoa in December and were able to customize our bands and book fp+

Yes...but you couldn't make FP+, correct? I know of one person who has been able to book FP+ with room-only, but think this is the exception to the rule.

We are room only and have FP+ for both of our stays. You just need tickets linked, not a package ressie.
