Do magic bands work at Vero?

I saw someone charging food from the market at Vero using a magic band the other day.

The cms at the front desk told me they do not work at Vero.

Yes they work, we stayed at Vero Beach last week and while they don't provide you Magic Bands you can bring your own and they will assign them your room to use as a room key, parking gate, and beach access.

Strange. We were there in November of 2019 and January of 2020, and used our MBs to open our room doors and charge our food and drink. The resort did not supply MBs, but they definitely worked if you brought your own. It appears that VB uses the same room door and room charge technology as the WDW locations. In fact, the printed receipts all carry the same “Disney Parks” logo at the top and contain a parks email address. Also, the VB reservations appear in the My Disney Experience app just like WDW resort reservations.

That is weird. We brought our own and everything and they told us that they would not work.

Ours worked fine in January 2021. We were able to open our door, charge to our room and access the beach.

No. At least not when we have been there. Also, HHI reservations do not show up in the My Disney Experience app.

I was there November 2020 and the front desk CM told me if we had brought our MagicBands we could use them to unlock our rooms.

Magic Bands absolutely work at VB Resort. We are at the resort now and are using them to unlock the door and all restaurants and shops. We also were able to use them on our last trip.
