Magic Bands - Anyone else still get excited when they arrive in the mail?

Not many understand - including some in my family - but I was so excited today to get our magic bands for our upcoming trip. It just means the trip is right around the corner. And, I still love actually getting something in the mailbox. Miss the luggage tags ... but love the bands. The new one that is a pre-arrival exclusive with Donald and Goody is really cute. My hubby didn't want a new one but I ordered it anyway. Now he thinks he will use that one!! Doing the Happy Dance!!

YES - even though I use my Apple watch as my MB for park entry now, I still have a puck in a watch band slider in my purse, and I swap the puck out with a fresh one when I get my new MB each year.

I got excited ordering my new one for my next trip...no they are not free, but I could use my Apple Watch and iPhone if I didn’t want to buy. I like not worrying about battery life! I can’t wait for my black sparkle magic band to arrive!

I wish they sold just the bands. We have so many pucks but I would buy more bands Those sparkles sure is purty!

I waited weeks to find a haunted mansion one and it was so worth it. I LOVE it, and will be so much easier than using my phone.

I would agree but seriously when do you even use a magic band? I guess if you had MM you might use a lot but without FP it's just as easy to use your phone to get in the park and buy stuff.

That said we are going to try using our original MBs from when they first started to see if we can get into our room. It would be nostalgic. We are planning on buying some wedding ones when we get there. Tenth anniversary and all.

I do have memory maker (100% free for booking with a certified Disney agent) and I’d prefer to save my phone battery for personal pictures and stuff. I don’t want to worry about recharging my phone throughout the day. But maybe that’s just me.

It was a perk from the agency I used to book. I have always planned my own trips, but I decided to use an agent this time and I can’t believe I hadn’t used one before. She will book my dining for me at the 60 day mark too! It’s very stress free this time around.

Agree on the phone. My battery tends to die. I prefer the band.
