magic bands and room reservations

my husband and I have room reservation, but are going to the parks with our two daughters who live down there so not staying at resort with us- when I go to look at magic bands on the my disney experience site it says I can get discounted band for me and husband- QUESTION- can I buy one under my husbands name and give it to my daughter and activate it under her name- or is it going to come all set up for her father?

It will come already linked to your husband.

You can deactivate the Magic Band after you get it and activate it on her account, you'll need the code on the back. You can also have it engraved with your daughter's name instead of your husbands.

Once activated under one person it cannot be changed (unless you call and ask them to do it and even then I've only heard of that happening if it was accidentally linked to the incorrect person which in this case it wouldn't be). It can be deactivated but that does not mean it can be reactivated under another person's account.
There is no code on ones you've purchased though your room reservation.

No, you can't! Once linked, MB are linked forever, they cannot be moved to another account....ever. And all pre-arrival MB are linked to a MDE account at purchase.

Where's your room reservation? if you're at DVC, add them to the room. If you're not you will probably have to pay the extra adults charge to add them to the room.
